I found Sleep Inn Nashville a very good 2 star hotel.
This hotel had: good price (we paid only $52 per night), clean, friendly service, wireless internet, microwave (although we didn't use it), TV, and small fridge.
They also served simple breakfast for free.
We liked the location because it was close to Gaylord Opryland. We had a conference in Gaylord Opryland hotel, yet the hotel was fully booked, so we went to this hotel alternatively. Of course those 2 hotels were incomparable, since Gaylord was a 4 star hotel and Sleep Inn was a 2 star. hotel. However, for a 2 star hotel, it was quite good.
We also liked the location of Sleep Inn, since we could find many restaurants there. Also on the same street, there was a pharmacy (where we bought some liquid items not permitted in the flight) and a gas station.
We glad we stayed there and found this cheap and good quality Chinese buffet restaurant: China King Buffet on the same street (Dickerson Pike). The lunch of $5.99 was a good deal as much as the hotel.
