“Nice 2 star hotel”

Sleep Inn Nashville

Jan 11, 2008

I found Sleep Inn Nashville a very good 2 star hotel.
This hotel had: good price (we paid only $52 per night), clean, friendly service, wireless internet, microwave (although we didn't use it), TV, and small fridge.
They also served simple breakfast for free.
We liked the location because it was close to Gaylord Opryland. We had a conference in Gaylord Opryland hotel, yet the hotel was fully booked, so we went to this hotel alternatively. Of course those 2 hotels were incomparable, since Gaylord was a 4 star hotel and Sleep Inn was a 2 star. hotel. However, for a 2 star hotel, it was quite good.
We also liked the location of Sleep Inn, since we could find many restaurants there. Also on the same street, there was a pharmacy (where we bought some liquid items not permitted in the flight) and a gas station.
We glad we stayed there and found this cheap and good quality Chinese buffet restaurant: China King Buffet on the same street (Dickerson Pike). The lunch of $5.99 was a good deal as much as the hotel.

“Excellent Service!”

If you have stayed at many Sleep Inns than you know that some are nice and some are complete crap. This Sleep Inn on Dickerson is nice enough. We spent one night just to meet family and spend some time in Nashville. The pool was clean. The pool funiture was old. The room was clean, but again nothing was very new. The TV was old and small. Despite the older furishings, this was a clean, well kept hotel.

The staff was what really made the differance. Both the day and night shifts were very friendly and helpful. We were accomadated with early check-in and late check-out. I saw the morning cleark go to the back and get a guest some breakfast well after the free breakfast was over.

This hotel will not win any awards, but if you need a budget priced palace to stay than this is a good choice.

“Motel was nice, area was not”

The motel itself was clean, the staff friendly, if not a little bit unknowledgable (I asked where an Urgent Care Center was located and they couldn't tell me - I remembered seeing a hospital sign near the motel). The pool was really small and one day we couldn't enjoy it because 2 van loads of people stayed there and monopolized the pool from opening to closing. To get to downtown Nashville you had to go through a pretty seedy part of town. One of the locals at the hospital referred the stretch of road as "Nastyville".

However, I did find the motel clean, the staff friendly, the room very adequate in size and the price was right. The continental breakfast was adequate. I'd stay there again, but find a different way downtown.

“Good Value, Convenient Location”

Spent a night here on way to Florida and another on the way back. Very convenient to I-65. Good value for money. Very clean. Microwave, refrig, iron/board in room. Shower, no tub. Breakfast was very basic, but enough to get you down the road. McDonald's practically next door. Front desk personnel were very friendly.

“A great family overnight stop”

We spent the night here enroute to Florida. A very nice place and a great value for Nashville. The staff was very helpful. My son left his glasses in the room and we didn't realize it until we were at least 50 miles away. We called on a cell phone and they were quite helpful in getting them mailed back to us.
