“Best place to host a kids' slumber party!”

Embassy Suites Hotel Dallas - Love Field

5 of 5 stars
Dallas, Texas
Jan 28, 2008

Took 4 little girls and my mom (for backup)to the Embassy Suites this weekend to celebrate my daughter's eighth birthday. E.S. offers a very affordable Slumber Party package which includes a large two-room suite, in-room movie, and pizzas/drinks for dinner. I would never have thought to do this in a hotel, for fear of bothering other guests. But it's a family hotel, and there were lots of children. All of the staff were so friendly and accommodating to our (not so quiet) party. The kids loved being on a mini vacation! The indoor heated pool was the main attraction- the girls swam for 5 hours the first day, and 3 the next morning! We all enjoyed the complimentary "happy hour"- the girls had sodas and snacks, my mom and I enjoyed a margarita. Best of all, they had a room to themselves with 2 doubles, so they could stay up as late as they wanted. But with all that swimming, they passed out by midnight. The complementary breakfast was also great- made to order omelets and pancakes with all the fixins', in addition to full continental breakfast selections. Overall, it was a great value. And we all had a wonderful time. No stress! I will never host another slumber party at home!

“Great Rooms but horrible internet”

I recently stayed at the Embassy Suites Love Field for business. I was supposed to stay 2 nights but had to cut it short 1 night because the internet in the hotel was not working. Apparently this is a re-occurring problem so before you check in to the hotel you may want to verify the internet is working if that is important to you.

Otherwise, the rooms have been recently renovated and very nice. The rooms are large with good furnishings and plasma tv in the living room. The bed is very comfortable and the staff is friendly and helpful. The gym is a bit on the small side but functional.

I ordered room service and the food was very good and arrived fast.

If it wasnt for really bad internet technology at this hotel I would have no problem coming back but I probably wont return as based on reviews this happens allot and frankly for most of us traveling on business we need internet like we need electricity. There really is no excuse for a hotel to have problems with their internet service, its been around long enough that it doesnt qualify as new technology anymore.

“Embassy suites okay but nothing spectacular”

Embassy Suites Hotel Dallas - Love Field

3 of 5 stars
Southampton
Nov 13, 2007

Stayed for just one night at short notice and struggled to find a room elsewhere. Hotel has some rennovations underway so a bit of a mess at front and some of the rooms look like they have been trashed, why not pull the curtains if not working in the rooms? Room was fine in terms of size but no hairdryer (only found out in morning and button missing from shower plunger.) Disappointing as room supposed to have been renovated. Breakfast was okay in the morning but Marriott Suites was better. Location not that convenient and Hotel shuttle was booked to take us to Sonny Bryans but dropped us at what must have been a take away, ended up getting a taxi, not easy back to hotel and drove into Dallas.

“great hotel!”

I stayed at the Embassy Suites Love Field on a business trip for 2 weeks in June and it couldn't have been much better. Free cook to order breakfast, happy hour from 5 to 7 with unlimited free drinks. The room was large and very comfortable, management was extremely polite and accommodating, room service was excellent and reasonably priced. Also, there is a 4 mile running/walking path that goes right from the back of the hotel around a small lake that is very convenient and rather scenic, little bit shabby in parts, but still very nice to have right there. One of the very few drawbacks is that there is sometimes a pretty long wait for the elevators - there are only 2 and in the mornings especially it can be a bit frustrating waiting for one. Overall though definitely an excellent hotel and I highly recommend the Embassy Suites Love Field if you're in Dallas.

“Breakfast was great”

Embassy Suites Hotel Dallas - Love Field

I am being kind of liberal with the rating but this hotel had a number of problems. The internet service was down in the hotel for a few days. My rom was way too hot and I had to get maintaineance to come to the room to manually adjust the thermostate. My tv blew out and the tv the hotel brought in showed everything in that bright red and the sound was like people swimming under water. The tv in the bedroom was better but you could not put the tv on mute. The breakfast was the best, however. It was delicious and hot and made to order every morning. The staff was nice and helpful
