When we entered our room, there was a suitcase and someone's personal items in the room. I went back to the front desk and they gave us another room---on a different floor on the opposite end of hotel. The room was ok but I would not give it a three star rating, which Priceline indicated. They have a Pizza Hut on the premises and we ordered room service. Great Ceasar salad.

This hotel has seen better days but the rooms are well-appointed & it's safe & clean enough for a bargain price overnighter if waiting for a flight - nothing more. I'd eat before you come, the food is awful, the restaurant dowdy and the bar noisy, smoky & packed with cheap coach tours & there's nothing nearby. Note to management: please stop your staff from saying: "it's a great day at the Holiday Inn Dulles airport reception, how can I help you". It wasn't at 2am after having queued 25 minutes to check in! Nor was it a great day when my aircon got noisy at 3am & because you only have one indifferent member of staff on duty I had to move myself to a new room. Nor was it a great day when I had to bully that member of staff to do anything at all. Oh, and it was even less of a great day to have my written complaint totally ignored. If I'm a Platinum Elite customer, God knows how others get treated!

The Holiday Inn is well located and has spacious rooms and very well-designed, spacious bathrooms. The desk chair was way too low to be able to use the desk for writing or computer work. My colleague who uses a Mac had trouble with the free in-room WiFi, which caused us a lot of problems. Also, the restaurant has no WiFi coverage which was a disappointment to me, as I hoped to spend brunch there catching up on email. POSITIVE NOTES: I apparently forgot my wallet in my room, and I received a timely call before I even noticed its absence. The housekeeping dept. kept it safe for me and I was able to pick it up en route to the airport from my morning meetings. Also, the front desk staff was extremely courteous and efficient. No real problems to report

We stayed here one night after a long flight from the UK, and found everything was excellent. Check in was quick & efficient, the room very clean and the on site facilities great. The bar was great to relax in and the food was good.
Would certainly stop here again.
