“Great Peace and Quiet”

Kilauea Lodge

Very nice place! Short hop to Hilo and Volcanoes National Park. The room was very comfortable and very quiet. The gardens and grounds were beautiful. The breakfast choices were great! I would recommend the Kilauea Lodge to anyone visiting the area.

“A Very Special Hawaian Lodge”

Our 2nd visit in 2 years. A wonderful, small, peaceful place with attractive
homelike rooms and a superb restaurant. The lack of T.V. is a bonus to us as it allows a true getaway from the usual ratrace. Access to the wonders of Volcano N.P. is close, but avoids being subjected to the busloads of tourists there. The Lodge staff is most friendly and helpful. We are hikers, and the variety offered is unusual from tropiical forests to volcanic calderas, much of which is at high (4000') elevation keeping it cool and bug free. The Kilauea Lodge setup allows for maximum enjoyment of this unique geographical area.

“Wonderful!!”

We just returned from a trip that included 2 nights at the Kilauea Lodge. We were traveling with friends and booked the Pi'i Mauna cottage. It was wonderful!! We were about 4 miles from the main lodge, but that was ok. It is surrounded by homes and backs up to the Volcano golf course. It has everything you need - a full kitchen, gas fire place, 2 bedrooms (king and queen beds plus pull out couch,) 2 living rooms, tv and phone. Wild turkeys are seen and heard. While there, we had a night that was foggy. It was actually kind of spooky because it is so dark. The stars, on a clear night are unbelievable!! Breakfast at the Lodge was great and service was, too. We'll be glad to go back again!!

“Absolutely fabulous”

Kilauea Lodge

Hilo, HI

My husband and I own a small business in Hilo, HI. We had our office Christmas party at their restaurant and the entire staff spent the night. The food and the service were excellent. It is not easy serving a large party (16 people) and they did it with ease. We booked 8 of thier rooms weekend. Every single room was immculate and looked brand new. Everyone commented how comfortable their bed was and how well they slept. The complimentary breakfast is extremely generous and delicious. Your choice of eggs, panckes or french toast with bacon, and fruit or juice, and coffee (I recommend the french toast - it was fabulous.) We couldn't believe a breakfast like that would be included with the room. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. It really is more like a hotel than a bed and breakfast since every room has it's own private bath and you are not staying in someone's home. I would higly recommended Kilauea Lodge to anyone - even if you are used to expensive hotels, you will not be disappointed with the quality of your room or the beauty of your surroundings.

“Romanticly Hawaiian Style Charm and Aloha”

As a resident of Maui, I am tired of the concrete hotels and lack of g at the Kilauea Lodge it was charming, and reminded me of Hawaii paAloha spirit that is coming to Hawaii. Upon arrivinst, and it's peaceful style. The staff at the lodge was amazingly helpful, friendly and full of "Aloha Spirit". The lodge was beautifully decorated with the Hawaiian warmth & style that creates a desire of wanting to stay for forever! As a "want to be" chief, the entire menu was fabulous! Celebrating my Dad's birthday that evening was personalized with all the great efforts of the dining staff! They paid great attention to all the little details making that evening full of memories! The rooms were not only charmingly furnished, nicely maintained, towel warmers, special soaps, again details. The Hawaiian Quilts were beautiful!!!
I could have stayed cuddled up in comfort...Enjoying the rain on the roof.... and the fragrance of the flowers.....Quiet solitude.

The beauty of the lodge grounds, like a picture post card!
The Kilauea Lodge has just become my favorite place to relax, enjoy life, and the beauty of the Big Hawaii. Wonderful!

The Lodge is defiantly a place for romance and celebration! I have already booked reservations to spend my Birthday with friends and family., I am planning a trip to follow. A romantic weekend alone together..... The Kilauea Lodge sure sets the mood..... Romance. romance, romance! A magical place in Kilauea.......
