“Great Service, Great Food, Great Hotel”

I took the MBTA “T” subway from Logan airport, Blue Line to the Orange Line and got off at the stop Downtown Crossing….just $2. Taxi can run you as much as $25 from previous trips….the “T” is better during bad weather and it was snowing heavily when I arrived in Boston. I checked into the Hyatt at around 9:00 am on Feb 27th not expecting a room to be ready this early in the morning and was surprised to find one was available. The front desk staff was very pleasant and offered me a corner room on the 14th floor. The room was updated, very clean and nicely decorated. The corner room had a sitting area with couches, large television and work desk. The separate bedroom had its own television, large King bed with lots of pillows and big down comforter. The bathroom was very clean with all the usual amenities. They have a Stay Fit workout center that is very nice and a bit of a hike to get to so consider this a warm-up workout. Plenty of equipment, some free weights, treadmills and ellipticals…etc. They have a small lap pool and locker room.

I had breakfast three mornings at the restaurant in the lobby. I ordered off of the menu instead of the free buffet that came with my room and the food was excellent and so was the service. (Egg white omelet with mozzarella is the Best!!) Also had dinner one night at the Avenue One restaurant in the hotel…..amazing food and lots of attention from the servers, you won’t be disappointed.

The Hotel is between Newbury and Faneuil Hall and a quick walk to the commons. There is a Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts just up the street at the corners of Tremont and Boylston streets for those needing their fix.

“Surprisingly great hotel in the middle of downtown Boston”

Hyatt Regency Boston

DUBAI, UAE & HOUSTON, TEXAS

We were able to get this hotel for only $99 through hotwire, so needless to say that this hotel was worth every penny. We stayed one night during the wine festival, and though it wasn't close to the Trade Center, it was only a short taxi ride away.

The Hyatt looks like it may be an older hotel from the outside, but the rooms are totally updated with a modern touch to them. There was a nice atrium when we arrived on our floor, which gave the hotel a comfortable feel to it. The staff was friendly, and the location is wonderful (just a block from Boston Common area).

The room is a fair size, with a very comfortable bed and very clean. The bathroom is average size, but very well appointed to.

One downfall was the lack of a hotel safe. I haven't been to a "4" star hotel lately that did not include a safe. But other than that, we had an excellent stay at this hotel, especially because of the price we booked it at.

“Excellent hotel”

Hyatt Regency Boston

4 of 5 stars
Las Vegas, NV
Feb 22, 2008

Got a great deal on Priceline. Excellent front desk staff - once you find your way from the street to the lobby. The room was immaculate and had every amenity we needed - including a lovely view. Housekeeping was great. The area is somewhat desolate late at night, so if that bothers you, you might prefer to stay someplace where there is a little more activity. But for our short stay it was perfect - and convenient to the T and South Station.

“Needs some bed help.”

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. Check in was fast and pleasant. The room was clean and decorated nice. It was the bed I had issue with. A feather bed was on top of the pillow-top mattress. Could have been great, but there was not a mattress pad in sight and the feathers from the featherbed poked us through the night. Sanitation - The mattress didn't have a waterproof pad on it either. Seems unsanitary to me and it is often required by health codes.
Room service was prompt and the food was warm, fresh, and tasted very good.
The price was very good at $159 night from the Hyatt website. Location was perfect, within walking distance to theatres, many restaurants, and Chinatown.

“This is the Place to Stay When in Boston”

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Boston for a much needed weekend get-away in December 2007, and I was pleasantly surprised by the service I that I had received from the Hyatt staff (from the doorman to guest services). The staff was extremely polite. I had a large corner room with two large windows allowing me to enjoy the views of the city. I felt like I was renting an apartment for the weekend. The room was immaculate and the room attendants were wonderful; the bathroom was very clean. As a single woman, I felt safe in the hotel. The location was perfect. I was near Macy’s, and other name brand shops as well as the T line, which allowed me to easily travel throughout the city, and Amtrak. I was also in walking distance to Quincy Market and other tourist attractions. I’m hard to please, but the Hyatt Regency exceeded my expectations.
