Very nice hotel, located just two blocks from Fenway Park and within walking distance of the Prudential Center and other good Boston locations.

I've stayed many places in Boston (Westin, Juries, etc.) and the small personal feeling of the Hotel Commonwealth is the best of the bunch.

Business serviceStayed at the Commonwealth two years ago and enjoyed it, so booked again for a college visit trip with my 17 year old daughter. I can't say enough about how wonderful the hotel is! Upon our arrival, we were told we could use the complimentary hotel car to go to our dinner reservation. When we returned from dinner, we were asked if we wanted to check out a DVD (from a library of 100 titles), and when it arrived to our room, it came with a bag of popped popcorn! When I asked if I could pay for a rollaway bed for my daughter's friend who stayed one night, I was told it was complimentary! I could go on and on about how friendly and helpful everyone was. This, of course, would mean nothing if the hotel and room facilities weren't great, but they also were----large, quiet, beautifully decorated room and bathroom, comfortable beds, flat screen TV, large desk and two lounge chairs. We travel a lot and like to stay at luxury hotels, and I have to say that the Commonwealth exceeded our expectations in every way. This property is one of the very best.

ServiceI loved the Hotel Commonwealth! The staff at the desk were always very friendly and helpful. The driver was nice and available to take me to my meeting. The Great Bay was wonderful. I will never stay anywhere else when in Boston.

Business serviceRecently returned from my 2nd stay at the Hotel Commonwealth (HC) and I highly recommend! I travel to Boston often, and usually stay at the Four Seasons because it is closer to my headquarters, however, decided to return to HC for a change from my usual routine. Honestly, I believe this hotel to be very close to that of the Four Seasons quality. The Commonwealth Room (jr. Suite) is huge and comfortable. 2 TV's, 2 phones, huge comfy king bed, Wi-Fi, great decor, extremely clean, (especially enjoyed the L'Occitane products, again, same as you'll see at the Four Seasons). The setup of the room is especially nice, as you can separate the sleeping side from the "Business/lounge" side with a huge curtain if necessary. Also, loved that the bathroom has a door separating toilet from bath/sink/dressing area. The service was impeccable. Front desk extremely courteous and helpful. Loved the nice touch of a personalized letter at turn down, thanking me for returning, along with some yummy treats. Gym is a tad on the small side, and that is the only partial negative I have of this hotel. The location is great, too. This hotel really feels like top notch luxury, with a bit of a twist (decor is not your average hotel decor). I can't wait to return during my next business trip.
