Very easy to find from the Ben Franklin Bridge. Park your car and walk to everything: Independence Hall (2 blocks), Betsy Ross House (around the corner), South Street (8 blocks), and a great italian restaurant on Market Street (4 blocks). The Omni is just around the corner, but why pay more?

Front desk staff were friendly, and helpful. There were a few groups checking in (for the Penn Relays) but the staff kept things moving. In fact, every time we passed through the lobby there was a different track team checking in. Everyone was excited to be there. When we checked in, we were "upgraded" to the 8th floor, but even better, our rate dropped by $8 (for whatever reason???) (AAA and Priority Club, for $191/night)

Beds were comfortable w/3 choices of pillows. Our room appeared to be recently renovated with updated bed linens (very nice). Room size was fine. Not huge, but we didn't spend too much time there. There is so much to see in this historic area. Our room was very quiet. We were surprised to learn 3 kids were staying next door, but we never heard them. Nice!

Recommendation: Skip the hotel rate that includes breakfast. The restaurant was crowded and things seemed confusing b/c they were short on staff. Better choice: make coffee in your room and choose from one of the small shops in the area.

We stayed in a king room which was very roomy and nicely appointed. The bathroom was a bit small but did the job. The hotel was VERY crowded when we checked in on a Saturday. The front desk was friendly. The lobby is nothing special. Basically this hotel is fine for an overnight stay. It is located in the center of the city. It is near the Liberty Bell and other attractions. Market street has so many restaurants - too many to count! There is a parking garage attached to the hotel for $20.

This is the place to stay especially for someone coming to Philly who has just a few days, doesn't want to drive everywhere and is planning to see downtown and the highlights. Plain and simple, a good place to stay, accessible parking and a quick walk to sights, shopping and restaurants.

If you are looking for high end comforts and furnishings, this is nice, but may not be for you, but if that's the case, you're probably not interested in walking either.

From this hotel you are 2-3 short blocks to major sites such as Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Franklin Court, and the Betsey Ross House, and The City Tavern (not the chain) to name a few.

You are about ~1/2-3/4 mile walk to the river and water front. And you are about 5 blocks to the Reading Terminal Market and even china town area.

There is a subway stop not far either and from there you can make it to South Street the arts and trendy area! A fun and unique place (especially at night) not to miss! Even if you don't take the subway, we actually walked from South Street back to the hotel (at night) through neighborhoods and felt pretty safe. (It is a long walk, for the adveturesome).

This is a great place to stay. We actully walked from the hotel into downtown, the large fountain and half-way to the art museum (which too is long walk, but a great way to see philly).

I can't imagine a better more affordable location to stay at in the heart of downtown that would be as nice. The rooftop pool was nice. It's a hotel, not a resort so go here to have a comfortable place to sleep, but get out! Philly has some awsome things to see and the streets are fun and exciting.

I was booked into this hotel by a conference I was attending, and it was a perfectly fine hotel, but really nothing too exceptional. The room I had was good sized -- king bed, seating area and bath. But the bathroom was very oddly designed in that the toilet was crammed between the sink and tub so that the toilet paper dispenser rammed into your side when using the facilities. I could also hear noise from neighboring rooms quite easily, but the room was clean and well cared for during my weekend stay. The public areas were really uninspiring, including a very uninteresting "restaurant" that was really only a glorified bar. The staff was great, though -- no complaints with them. Overall, it is a serviceable hotel in a good location, so if you don't need anything fancy, it should suffice.

“Great Hotel, Despite all the Negative Reviews”

I first have to say this is my second time staying at this hotel. The first time, they were going through renovations and making updates, so I was looking forward to seeing what they had done. Checking in was a breeze, and unloading was easy, with staff ready to greet you and help in anyway. We got to our rooms, great, a nice view of the Quaker Meeting house. Everything was close by, considering we were there for a dance convention, close by, we could have walked but with all our costumes, etc. that was out of the question. One thing that really stood out with our stay was one of our team members got a "bit" lost, to say the least. I found a staff member, and asked him for a city street map, he got me 1 better, James, the head of the security at the hotel. He gave me directions from where my friends were, the missed the exit, and was lost again. James said, if I needed him again, to request him and he would be happy to assist. He came out again, and stayed with me, patiently I may add, and we got my friends there. I joked with him, saying she would probably greet him with a hug, and well, when she got there, he found me and asked did your friends get here, they did, and I was right he was graciously thanked and hugged. That to me went above and beyond customer service. They could have given me a street map, walked away, and that was it. They really went out of their way, and it was GREATLY appreciated
