Firstly, the hotel located within walking distance of most of Philadelphia's tourist attractions and the subway.

Secondly, the hotel is great value for money compared to other rooms in the area.

Thirdly, the rooms are very nice and the bathroom is ok. You must get a bridge view though because the other side of the hotel faces a busy freeway

However, the walk to the hotel is slightly tricky and you do have to go under the bridge...but there wasn't anyone there at anytime of the day or night so its perfectly safe, and if you aren't from a big town then you might find it difficult sleeping...otherwise its perfect.

We picked up this hotel's brochure at the Visitor's Center. Besides location I found very little positive about the place. I will say that the staff was patient and considerate. There is onsite parking and the hotel let us leave our car there after check out so we could walk the city. The negatives: We had a room on the 8th floor. The hallway stank something awful. The room, even though non-smoking, smelled of cigarettes. There was No Hot Water in the late evening. The next morning it took a good 5 minutes of running the water to finally get it hot. One of the amenities offered is a free shuttle to any city destination. This would be fantastic except the shuttle doesn't run after 10pm (in the city?) nor mid-afternoon. Overall, service doesn't matter if the building needs renovation, and this one needs it.

We needed to stay one night to be close to airport. Received a room facing bridge! Kept the drapes open all night to see the view. Hotel was full and had a cozy feel to it, perhaps because of the little lobby, little lounge, and little reception area all being together.
Staff were friendly and helpful. It was worth paying to park to have a parking attendant throughout the night.
The room was clean but it was a little inconvenient to wait 15 minutes to get hot water for a shower at night. Breakfast was the real surprise as it's called continental but really is a full one that includes make your own waffles, yogurt, apples/oranges, hard boiled eggs, muffins, bagels, donuts, oatmeal, even individual containers of peanut butter -- and everything was fresh and refilled often.
No problem with noise on this side of building. I think if you keep the fan running through the night and the drapes closed so you don't see the many roads nearby, the highway side of the building might be OK. But if you can get the river view side, it's quite a different experience!
Was great to be able to walk over to the restaurants at Old Towne but as others have mentioned, there is also the free van service.
There aren't granite sinks in the bathroom or designer bedding and furniture but for the rate we received, we give the hotel two thumbs up and hope to stay there again.

We stayed at this hotel last weekend after calling a dozen or
so other hotels but the dallas/philly game filled them all. Anyway
the hotel was great, the staff was friendly and helpful. The bar
tender was a lifelong resident and told us what to see and not
to see. He save us a ton of research. The end room on the third
floor was perfect to see the bf bridge and river. So we lucked out finding this hotel. My wife wants to go back next year and stay
in the same room if possible. I didn't notice a lot of noise at all
in my room.
