We came to Baltimore for our stay to watch the Tigers play the Orioles. The location cannot be beat if you are coming to watch baseball as it is only a couple of blocks to the stadium.

Check in at the hotel was a breeze. We were put in the main tower which I recommend because I have heard bad stories about the west wing which hasn't been remodeled. Our room was recently renovated and very clean. I was very impressed with my stay here as everything was updated. They had a nice t.v in the room and my view of Camden Yards was excellent.

The pool area was also really nice with chairs to lounge in all around the pool and tables to sit and play cards at during the day. For an older hotel they have maintained the pool area very well.

They also had a little cafe downstairs which I believe is called Dotties. If you are a priority card club member they give you coupons for here and they had a nice selection of bagels and breakfast sandwiches if you wanted a lighter meal in the morning.

This hotel was also very close to the inner harbor which made it very nice. We didn't rent a car and just took the super shuttle from the airport and found we didn't need a car our whole stay here. I definitely would recommend this hotel..

The staff is helpful, efficient and friendly. The rooms are what one should expect at a HI -- maybe a little better.

Can't beat it for convenience to the ballpark -- which is why we were there.

The A/C in our room could have been better, but that's the only minor complaint.

We had breakfast in their restuarant. It was typical stuff but they billed the 2 teenagers in our party as children so it was a bargain. The wait staff was very competent, friendly and helpful.

I would absolutely go back or recommend it to friends. I just wish I had booked trough Priceline or one of the other discount services.

What a dump. But we got the room for $60 on priceline...so we can't complain too much now...can we?

Here's what we thought of the HI Baltimore:

Our room was in the "west wing." It should be called the "Super 8 wing." We were not impressed with the walk from the lobby through the parking lot to get to the WW entrance. The entry way was very worn/tired. Much like a Super 8 brand hotel along the interstate. Our room was small but functional. The A/C unit was from the 70's...but it worked well. The bed likely had bed bugs (we noticed a few bites in the morning). The bathroom was very small but clean enought to handle your business in relative comfort. Overall our room was quite dated and not up to par with the $200/night quoted on the HI website.

I would recommend that you do your homework before booking this hotel. It's fine if you get a super cheap deal and are OK with 2 star ammenities.

We didn't eat/drink/swim so we don't have an opinion to offer.

I recently booked a room for two nights at the Holiday Inn in Baltimore through Hotwire for an great price. After reading the reviews on Trip Advisor I was a little leary of my selection. But our stay was very enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The first night our air conditioner didn't work so maintenance came up and asked if we wanted to change rooms. We said yes and the maintenance staff took care of changing our room, getting new keys and helping us move our things to the next room. The only criticism I have is that parking was $21 a day. If I hadn't gotten the room through Hotwire and would have paid the regular rate on the web site, I would have felt this was a little pricey for parking.

The room was nice and the beds comfortable. The bathroom was a little small but clean. All in all a fine place to stay.
