“Great Hotel ! Good Price!”

Holiday Inn Hotel Historic District (Mulberry Inn)

I have stayed in this hotel two times this year. It is excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I stayed in a room with one king-sized bed. It was very elegant. It even had a small view of the river. I have always stayed on the third floor. It was very quiet. I wish that the bar would open earlier.

“Great choice”

Holiday Inn Hotel Historic District (Mulberry Inn)

Recently went to Savannah for a long weekend, and since both my travel companion and I had free nights at different hotels (we both travel alot for work), we stayed at this hotel for one night and another hotel (in the historic district as well) for two other nights.
Based on rates and advertised ammenities, these two hotels should have been comparable. Unfortunately, we stayed at the Mulberry first, and it was such a nice hotel in comparison to where we went for the next two nights that we wished we were still at the Mulberry.

The atmosphere is wonderful, and we found the staff to be very courteous and helpful. The rooms are a little on the small side, but we found it to be cozy. The room and the common areas were very clean, and parking is directly across the street and very convenient. We did not have to pay parking fees, but the room was a freebie so maybe the parking was too?

The location is also great. You are in walking distance of everything. We walked to dinner down on River Street (the Chart House, very yummy). The next day we walked all over the historic district, didn't get the car until it was time to move to the other hotel.

The only disappointment I had was the breakfast in the hotel dining area was nothing special - something an average cook makes at home. I had somewhat higher hopes, but there are so many places that you can go for breakfast that this isn't really a problem.

Would highly recommend this hotel to friends, and look forward to going back in the future.

“Love this Inn”

Holiday Inn Hotel Historic District (Mulberry Inn)

Jun 29, 2008

We have stayed at this lovely historic hotel now several times.

The Inn is very quiet and peaceful in spite of being so close to the main attractions. The surrounding squares are wonderful and the walk to River Street is easy.

My favorite thing about this hotel is the courtyard with the fountain and several tables. This is where I spend my early mornings with a good book and a cup of coffee. The Inn has a wonderful living room (lobby) that is nicely furnished. They provide a wonderful tea in the afternoon.

My husband enjoys the pool, which is also in a courtyard setting with lovely trees, plants and a fountain.

The staff has been very courteous and helpful. We will definitely be back.

“Front Desk Disaster”

This is a very nice hotel. The general staff, maids, wait staff etc. are wonderful...but the front desk staff is terribly under-trained. They ran my credit card wrong three times!! Also, if someone walks up, they stop what they are doing, and start working on the new arrival. There were five to eight people waiting to finish. One lady got so upset, she screamed "Just check me out of here". It took us 45 minutes to check in. The second morning I went down and a supervisor, was at the desk, I asked for my Priority Club breakfast ticket, not only did he not know where the tickets were, he didn't know what the Priority Club was. That was scary, how could a Holiday Inn employee, (supervisor )not know what the Priority Club is? In short, if you get past the front desk, you should have a good stay.

“Great Hotel”

Great location....across the street from river street! The staff was very helpful in directions and in offering suggestions for places to see and eat. Mr.George was an extra friendly face greeting you at the door each morning. Definitely would stay here again. The only downside was the housekeeping staff was lacking in good cleaning.
