“Felt at home”

We stayed at dekoven suites for a family event in brooklyn- cost of hotels was too high and found this on trip advisor and had very good ratings- didnt know what to expect, but pulling up the tree-lined street the homes were beautiful and we were already very pleased. We had the upstairs room and felt we were actually guests in someone's home. The room was lovely and bed was very comfortable. Is right next to subway so could hear that at night but sounded more like rain than anything and air conditioner blocked sound.
The bathroom was beautiful and we loved the jetted tub.
breakfast was help-yourself and was perfect. The location was great- right around the corner from Q train. We did walk the area during daytime and felt very safe. A great eclectic neighborhood with several restaurants nearby. Over all will definately plan on booking for each trip to NYC in future- was very comfortable and a warm place to return at the end of a hectic day of walking. The only unfortunate thing was the owner susan was not there so we did not get to meet her but we had everything we needed available to us.

We stayed with Susan and Chalo many months ago and returned for a 3 day stay once again. This B & B continues to excel in hospitality and accommodations. Once again it felt like the right place to be. We cannot add to what others have said except if you would like to feel totally comfortable and relaxed in a Brooklyn B & B only a few minutes from popular areas like Park Slope and Coney Island yet 25 minutes from Times Square, this is the place.

Dekoven Suites is situated centrally for just about everything - only 15-30 minutes' taxi ride to JFK, 20 minutes' subway ride into the city, and close to some really nice restaurants if you're feeling a little jetlagged, but would like to explore the immediate area before facing NY itself.
Our room was really comfortable, exclusive bathroom was great, and breakfast every morning meant we were always ready to face the rigours of tourism on a full stomach.
Susan and Chalo are great hosts, very knowledgeable about the local area, and really nice people to boot!
We had a wonderful time staying there, and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone considering a visit to New York.

“The Great Brooklyn Victorian Taste”

We arrived in Brooklyn this November 2007, stayed in Brooklyn great Victorian house quiet area 2 mintes form Subway , major transportation in NYC and 30 Minutes from Mannhattan .
Nice Appartment , great breakfast , nice family athmosphere
and very helpfull so you do not just see NYC from just another hotel window you feel heritage , culture as we like so much in our old Europe but still getting real taste of BIG Apple.We like it
very much and will be back.

A very nice place to stay, in a beautiful house in a nice and quiet neighbourhood, a place you feel at home right away! Susan and her husband Chalo are very friendly and hospitable, and help you with every question you have.
Although their B&B is located in Brooklyn, you reach the centre of Manhatten in less then 20 min by subway, wich is around the corner of their house, so no problem at all!
Whenever we go back to N.Y. we will stay at Dekoven Court!
