A complimentary junket from the casino took me to this property. It is beautiful from the pillow top mattresses to the cozy robes. The marble bathroom is spectacular and the tub big enough for a family reunion.
It is one of the few hotels where there seems to be more than enough employees to answer every need. The casino is across the street from the hotel and there is a person there to hand the guest an umbrella if needed.
Room service was prompt and the food good in huge servings. I thought the prices a little high, but I used casino comp points so I really didn't care.

This was our first stay at the Harrah's hotel in New Orleans.

Our room had a great view of the bridge and city.

The service at this property is outstanding - the employees here are friendly and helpful.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful from the lobby to the bathrooms. Large deep soaking tub, separate shower - I loved that after a late night (early morning) return to the room.

The location is great as it is only a walk across the street to the casino, a block from the Mississippi and a few blocks to Bourbon Street and the French Quarter.

We loved our stay here and will stay here when we return.

“Reservations are a conceptual thing here....”

We planned a quick trip to New Orleans for a long weekend, getting in on a Wednesday night, planning to stay until Sunday. After confirming our reservation with Travelocity, uniTED, and Harrahs before departing (I've read reviews, thought it wise), we arrived at 11:30 expecting to check in our room, only to be told that our room wasn't available and that they would 'walk us down the street' and pay for a room on them.

The hotel was adequate, but not what we wanted, we were embarrassed to be turned away after paying more than a fair price. Travelocity wasn't much help either, we got no credit for being put out like this, we had to wait until 3:00 the next day to check in, effectively gutting our planned day taking in the sights and scene that is New Orleans, and putting a real damper on our vacation. It was only 2 1/2 days more and we really had to hustle.

The customer service center for Travelocity is based in India, they were ineffective and the response we had from them was frustrating and close to useless. I will never use an on-line travel agent, instead I will eat the few dollars more, book directly on my own, use reputable hotel chains and hope for the best.

This was our second stay at the Harrah's hotel in New Orleans. The service at this property is second to none - the employees here must all REALLY enjoy thier jobs as they are the most friendly and helpful bunch of folks in New Orleans.
The hotel is absolutely beautiful from the lobby to the bathrooms. The location is great as it is only a walk across the street to the casino, a block from the Mississippi and a few blocks to Bourbon Street and the French Quarter.

Definitely try the bufffet at the casino - we are not buffet people, but this one is GREAT !!! Also Gordon Biersch restaurant next to the hotel is well worth a try.

Most of all - please come and visit New Orleans - the city looks great and we felt safe everywhere we went.

“Nice Hotel with a great location”

I was in Little Rock recently and my partner was with me. We decided on the way home to make a weekend of it and stopped in New Orleans for 2 days in August. We are Diamond Members with Harrahs and got both days comped at the new Harrah's Hotel.

The hotel was really nice and we had a great room, 2313. The room was large and very luxurius. It didn't have much of a view, but that was OK.

The Hotel is located directly across the street from the Harrah's Casino. The casino is not attached to the hotel, but is a simple walk across the street.

The only negative is there is no pool. It was really hot while we were there and it would have been nice to relax in the pool for awhile.

There are plenty of dining options right near the hotel. We ate at Gordon Biersch 1 night and the Court of the 2 Sisters the other night. Harrah's gave us $50 in dining and you can use that at about 30 locations around the city.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is going to New Orleans for a gambling weekend.
