We stayed here during our second house-hunting expedition to New Orleans (we're moving in June). Our first time, we stayed at a Hilton - which was outstanding - but wanted to try a local establishment this go 'round. What a mistake!
The location is outstanding, but that's all this place has going for it. We stayed here three nights and had roaches on two of them. ROACHES! And were refused a discount. The room was dirty, not well equipped, and the water temperature was erratic at best. We got moved to a different room (after the second roach) only to find the same situation again. Breakfast was bland and the staff was cold and unfriendly. We couldn't wait to leave.
We paid nearly $100 per night and were mortified with our experience. Completely unexceptable.
New Orleans has so much to offer, it's a shame that a hotel in such a prime location as this can create a negative experience for visitors. I'll make sure that everyone I know comming to New Orleans will not stay here.
