1. Overall Impressions

An aging Marriott with small rooms, small bathrooms, and a nice big lobby area. In fact, the lobby with its stonework and beams is the most interesting part of the Marriott SEATAC Airport (SEA).

Yes, this is that ancient one with ONE elevator ....

Very pleasant and soft.

4. Bathrooms

Unremarkable.

Tiny.

5. Restaurants

Nice cold beer at the bar in the lobby.

6. Front desk

Accurate, pleasant and well-trained

7. Charges (internet, parking, etc)

No charges for internet access.

The Marriott is OK, but far below Marriott standards in almost every way: line-ups at check in, small and mediocre rooms, weak gym, no steam room.

There are extremely long halls - a block long in some places, that make hauling luggage difficult.

It is a mediocre layover hotel, but vastly overpriced

I stayed here on my last day in Seattle since it was closer to the aiport for my 5am flight. Even though it was a bit hidden toward the back I was very suprised at how nicely done the entrance was. I walked it and you are greeted with a lodge type setting with nice comfy looking couches welcoming you in. Instead of a check in desk there were 3 small stations that you can check into the hotel. It was nicely done and made me feel very homely.

The way to the room was a bit awkward since the floor was U shaped you had to walk all the way around to reach your room. I utilized the pool and it was a nice pool with Adult hours if you don't like sharing with kids and with two jacuzzi's available.

The room was clean but the one i stayed in was a special for disabled people. So I was a little put off that the disabled shower chair was still in the bathroom that was a little weathered with yellow color tone to it. I wish they would have taken it out to fit the clientele that will be staying in it. But it was nice that the hotel accomodates for this.

Check out was easy and the rooms was pretty nice. I loved the comfy beds, pillows, and the airport shuttle! Since I needed a ride to the airport the shuttle was most convenient!

The Marriott Airport Seattle is a reasonable choice in the Sea-Tac area. I paid about $189 per night. The shuttle is generally quick to and from the airport and I encourage its use rather taxi service which can be very spotty in Seattle. My room was in the second floor but in the back of the hotel such that I had a very long walk no matter which way I took to the room. The interior is nice and check in was very quick.

Breakfast was good in the restaurant, if not a bit pricey. Drink service in the bar was fine, no complaints. I can imagine that it must get very noisy in the lobby when the crowd is hanging out in the
bar.

I guess Marriott has a new program where guests are now charged for internet service. Its $9.95 at this hotel, but can be had for free at the business center near the check-in counters. There are two internet PCs and one boarding pass access PC.

Personally, the ability to sit in my room and check my personal or work email is nice and I am not sure how many takers will pay extra for the access. And I am hoping not to get nickel and dimed for that.

I can offer four stars as the overall quality was good.
