Business serviceWe chose the Marriott because of the aquarium package. We had never stayed in a Marriott, but I'm a fan now. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Burl, the very nice doorman, got us some late-night reservations and was very knowledgeable about the area.
Breakfast buffet was included with our package. We found it quite generous and varied. There was construction going on while we were there, so the waffle and omelet bars were unavailable, but our server made sure we were offered them. She, Ivan, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. When we returned nearly 3 weeks later, she actually remembered us and again gave us a warm welcome and fantastic service.
I had been charged for internet, but hadn't used it. The front desk credited it off my bill, no problem. Check-in and check-out were fast and painless. Housekeeping is amazing. We'd go to breakfast and come back to a clean room. I appreciated that.
I'll come back to this hotel, and will certainly try them in other cities as well.

Business serviceIn ATL for Apparel Market.Upon arriving the valet guys were hoofing It as it poured down rain. They were trying so hard to keep everyone out of the rain and moving quickly.Service a 10.Went inside and checked in,had the most pleasant gentleman working at the front desk.Speedy check in and again Service 10.Bellhop walked with us up to the room and as we walked down the hall we could hear a PARTY going on and spilling out into the hall with clothing(shorts and tshirts)in the middle of the walkway of the hall.As It turned out the party happened to be right across the hall(my luck). We decided to let someone else complain about the noise as It was surely going to happen. And it did.At 11:30 a womans voice yelled out that they needed to shut the [--] up.They proceeded to yell out that in fact she needed to shut the [--] up.And so it began, a 2 hour odyssey of security guards, explanations and he said she saids. The womans husband/boyfriend came to her defense and a fight erupted. When we called the front desk, they wouldnt answer the call knowing what we were calling about and didnt want to face the music. They should have thrown these punks out WAY earlier. Of course the police arrived all the while we are trying to watch the 15$ movie that we couldnt pause. The same night, before the hockey game broke out in the hallway,we had ordered room service at 8:50 only after two calls and lost tickets did the food arrive at 11:05 just in time for the prefight.Neither of us ate the 103.00 meal as It was already too late.
The next day with minimal sleep and 9 hours at market,we arrived in the room to find the toilet had leaked out water all over the place. We called they fixed and 2 hours after clean-up It happened AGAIN!The final note to a miserable stay was the paper thin walls and constant slamming of doors all night made for a miserable experience.Overall the rooms are quite nice and the staff could train any hotel in that city on great customer service but are certainly not the greatest problem solvers. As I always end my reviews:You can have the best customer sevice in the world, but if you cant back it all up efficiently and effectively, you dont have a darn thing.

Business serviceWas here for the March Merchandise Market. You can't be much closer, half a block. Upon arrival the "redcoats" made things easy, check in was a breeze and as a marriott member was "upgraded" to a junior suite. This was not a busy weekend.
We went out for dinner, the staff in the lobby told us to have a good time and then welcomed us home when we returned. Whoever did the customer service training at this hotel needs to go on tour and teach some others how it should be done.
This is not a new property, but was clean and comfortable, good amenities. Being picky, they need to upgrade the towels to larger and softer ones to match the bedding.
On my last day, I asked for a late checkout and it was immediately granted.
The Marriott in downtown Atlanta is my home when I go to market.

ServiceThis is formerly a Wyndham hotel, our GPS still thought it was.
The entrance is pretty small for dropping your car off, we waited a while on the street to be able to pull in.
Check in was quick and the staff very friendly and helpful.
They said that the rooms were recently refurbished. Ours was very clean and looked pretty new. The rooms are on the smaller size and the bathrooms are very small with the vanity being in the bathroom. Street noise was fairly loud in our room on the 4th floor.
Pool is outdoors and was dirty along a busy street.
The TV quality was just OK -- lines in most of the channels. Internet Access is $10, still a Marriott annoyance.
Not a bad choice for business, but not great for tourists.
