“This is the best of the two Perimeter Center Staybridge locations!”

Staybridge Suites Atlanta - Perimeter

May 3, 2008

Be forwarned that there are two Staybridge Suites in the Perimeter area of Atlanta. This particular Staybridge Suites is located on Ridgeview Road and is the newer (and much better) location. The other Staybridge Suites is located on Mt Vernon Highway and is refered to as "Staybridge Atlanta Perimeter Center Mt Vernon" on TripAdvisor.

I stayed in the Mt Vernon location for seven nights before I moved to this newer location for a night. Below, it appears as though other reviewers have possibly confused the two locations as only the Mt Vernon location has outside corridors and no elevators.

I was personally confused about the fact that there were two Staybridges in the Perimeter area of Atlanta. When I first made the reservation, I assumed that I was staying in the Ridgeview Road location, but the reservation was somehow made at the older location. I posted my experiences of the older location on TripAdvisor if anyone is interested in reading more about my experiences at that particular property. To briefly summarize, the Staybridge on Mt Vernon Highway is older and in need of upgrades. I was definitely not impressed with the older Staybridge.

In contrast to the Mt Vernon Staybridge, I highly recommend this location on Ridgeview Road! It is a much newer facility, and there are elevators to each of the floors. Also, all of the suites have an inside entrace, which is in stark contrast to the other location.

The breakfast buffet was awesome, as is the internet service. The beds are comfy, and the suites are clean.

I higly recommend this Staybridge location. Just be aware that there are two in the Perimeter area, and if you want to stay at this location, make sure that you are being booked for it and not the older one.

“think Candlewood”

Staybridge Suites Atlanta - Perimeter

2 of 5 stars
Louisville, Kentucky
May 2, 2008

This is not a normal Staybridge suite. It is not designed in the normal 3 story C shape. It is more like an apartment complex than a hotel.

The entrances are on the outside which concerns some folks. Also the stairs are wooden and creaky. Thus the place seems more run down than it is. The rooms are odd shaped but decent sized. The bathrooms are small. The TV’s are old as is the gym. Breakfast was fine as was snack hour. They were upgrading the kitchen area when I stayed here. The parking lot is also cumbersome. No elevators if you get a 3rd floor room expect to lug you stuff up those wooden stairs.

I would think this place is more on the Candlewood Suites level than a Staybridge. It is in need of an upgrade.

“Good Location, Clean and Roomy”

Staybridge Suites Atlanta - Perimeter

This hotel was excellent. We went to Atlanta for a girls weekend and booked the hotel becuase it was close to the mall and lots of shopping and had enough room for 6 of us. The 2 bedroom suite was immaculent and there was enough room in the bathroom / vanity areas for us to get dressed for our nights out without bumping into each other. There were several shopping centers and restaurants within walking distance but far enough away for seclusion and quiet. The morning breakfast buffet was excellent with waffles, eggs and other continental foods. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

“Quiet, convenient and comfortable.”

Staybridge Suites Atlanta - Perimeter

When traveling with our two young boys (2 years old & 6 months old), we prefer to stay in places with separate rooms so we can put them down for naps and sleeping is easier. My wife booked us at the Staybridge Suites in the Sandy Springs/Perimeter area near Atlanta for a recent trip. My mother also came with us to watch the boys while we conducted some business (the main reason for the trip).

The hotel is near all that the Perimeter area has to offer - just a few blocks from the mall and other shopping and dining options. It's a nice area to stay in when visiting Atlanta as it's got a lot of options without the craziness of areas closer to downtown - plus it's a short MARTA ride away from the downtown attractions.
The two bedroom suite we stayed in was very nice - fairly spacious living room & kitchen, split bedrooms each with their own bathroom. High speed internet was free in the suite. The beds were more than comfortable.

Some minor annoyances in the suite - the toilets took forever to re-fill after flushing (at least 4-5 minutes between flushes) and the bathrooms overall were very small (but the vanity and sink are outside them in the room). The TV in the living room had closed-captioning turned on, and the remote control's menu button didn't work so we couldn't change the settings. It wasn't a huge deal but was a little annoying.

The kitchen isn't used by everyone that stays there so I can see how some things slip by unnoticed, but we definitely use all the amenities traveling with the boys. The freezer didn't work at all and the fridge wasn't able to get cold enough to keep milk and other food cold enough. It was Friday night before we noticed this, and the maintenance guy was gone for the evening, but the hotel staff worked quickly to give us access to another room to use that fridge until the maintenance guy could come in the morning. He came and fixed the broken garbage disposal in the kitchen and provided us with a mini fridge since he'd have to order parts for the main one.

The hotel's breakfast is decent, usually with eggs and some kind of breakfast meat and then the normal continental set-up (bagels, muffins, cereals, etc). Breakfast lasts until 9:30 weekdays and 10:30 on weekends which is nice, and there are bags there for convenient to-go options. The fitness room consisted of three cardio machines, all which were out of order. There was a sign on one of the machines that guests get 7 free visits to LA Fitness (just a few blocks away), but I was disappointed I couldn't work out on site.

Overall, I was pleased and very comfortable during our stay. I'd recommend this hotel to pretty much anyone as the rates are very nice for such a large suite.

“Staybridge Suites - Perimeter Atlanta - great place to stay”

I traveled to Atlanta with my 17 year old daughter. We went there so she could have surgery with Dr. Sinervo of the Center for Endometriosis Care there in Atlanta. The practice has a deal with the Staybridge suites and the 1 or 2 bedroom suites are highly discounted if you are traveling to Atlanta to see these physicians. We stayed at the Staybridge for 5 nights and it was a great place to stay. Everything is very clean and the staff is the nicest hotel staff I think I have ever encountered. There is a wonderful hot breakfast every morning with some type of eggs, meat and then all sorts of other things like fresh waffles, bagels, muffins, fresh melon, yogurt, toast, hot and cold cereal, etc. They have a complimentary laundry room that is free except you need to provide your own soap, etc. There is also a really nice fitness room with tv. The first thing I noticed was how easy it was to hook up the internet service. It worked immediately with no calls for support (a hotel first for me). All kinds of shopping is very close. The Perimeter Mall and the Lenox Square Mall are both very nice with upscale stores. The highway is close also; the airport is about 30 minutes away. I highly recommend this hotel. It is an excellent suite hotel.
