Stayed at this property on a recent trip to Atlanta, booking via Priceline. As a Priceline customer, I fully understand that in all likelihood I'm going to get one of the least desirable rooms in the property, and for the price that a Priceline customer is paying vs another customer booking rack rate, I have no issue with this. Hours prior to my arrival, I checked vacancy via the Hilton/Doubletree website and saw that basically all room classes were available. Upon check-in, I requested a non-smoking King, if available, and was told that only smoking rooms were available (again, I understand I get what I get, but it seemed to contradict their advertised vacancy). The desk clerk was friendly, courteous, and professional, so I didn't press the issue, but upon checking for available on the Hilton/Doubletree website from my guest room, they showed non-smoking rooms available for my stay, so I feel that my room was "pre-determined", so to speak.
The hotel itself is of average to slightly above average quality for it's class (3 star). Bed was comfortable, room was clean, bathroom linens and toiletries (standard Doubletree Neutrogena) were of good quality. Some fast food restaurants scattered near the entrance (the hotel is very close to I-75) and sit down restaurants just a short drive away. The hotel is near NAS Atlanta, so there can be some aircraft noise. A bit dissapointed in the Pay-Per-View (only 2 comedies) and cable lineup (no HBO), but that's certainly not a deal-breaker. I would definitely stay here again (I use Priceline 90% of the time so I wouldn't book directly), but enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt Suites on the opposite side of I-75 a bit more.
