This is a "motor inn" where you can park directly outside your own door. Do not accept the rooms in the back of the hotel. I arrived on a cold night and turned the heater on to the max. After several hours the warmest temperature was 65F recorded from my portable clock which has proven to be very accurate. I wondered why and stood by the door and realized a big draft was seeping through the door! The temp outside was in the 30's and leaking in at a fast rate. The weather stripping was was useless since the door was not aligned well. I ended up taking two towels and draping them over the top of the door and the the side and then forcing it shut. Even after that the room only warmed to 67F. Only cool air flowed from the vents.
The room had a musty smell that was somewhat hidden by some type of airfreshener that appeared to be coming from the heating vent. I wondered why I was coughing- I thought it was dust. I turned off the heater woke up with the temp just below 57F. Of course they had no other rooms available other than smoking rooms. A big medical conference was being held and all of the hotels in the city area were booked at capacity except for this place. Now I know why.
I tried to eat at the restaurant also. Ordered at 9:00 pm when there were only four or five other people in the restaurant and didn't get my food until 10:00pm! I got fed up at 9:40 and asked to be delivered to my room. Every time I asked before and even when I left it was "it will only be a few more minutes".
This hotel attracts unsophisticated people who generally don't have good manners. it was very noisy, people talking, partying, yelling, screaming and running all over the place. Not to mention people accidentally tripping their car alarms. Who knows, maybe there were car burglaries, I wouldn't be surprised. I would definitely not recommend for the single female traveler or old person, I didn't feel totally safe.
I checked out the following morning and luckily found another nearby hotel that had a cancellation.

We were here for two nights, just arriving from the airport. We received a warm welcome, the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel being next to the I 75, all attractions were easy to reach, downtown (Underground Atlanta!) just minutes away. Free breakfast buffet with lots of choice. We particularly liked the motel style, making it easy to get luggage from the car to the room and back. Outdoor pool was nice too. All in all, we liked this hotel very much.

I spend 3 nights here and i was pretty surprised with everything...the first day was much to be desired...i found a bone under the bed...a bone....

the rooms other than that were nice and i greatly enjoyed the breakfast...
just dotn eat at the BBQ restaurant next door...much to be desired!

My stay was June 22 & 23rd '05. I chose it based on Trip Advisor reports and was generally pleased with it for cleanliness and quality. However, it is misleading to call it 'Downtown' since that conjures up walking distance to downtown places such as CNN, the Centennial Park and the Coca Cola museum. It is located a few miles away and a car is needed. Also, the breakfast is not very good even though they offer eggs, french toast and grits. It all tasted like packaged, frozen stuff. The room price was fair. One last note was that the motel has 3 seperate buildings and although ours was quiet there was quite a bit of noise and activity outside the rooms across the parking lot.
