“Great stay - great airport views and airport sounds...”

Renaissance Concourse Hotel

Booked this hotel day of stay at a decent rate- GREAT staff, great airport location, great location if you are driving (right off of highway).

- yes - this is a great hotel IF YOU ENJOY airport noise!!! My room 1127 faced the airport - great views and the balcony was a plus. The noise was bearable - very interesting to watch the planes take off and land. very very neat.

- I ordered room service - breakfast was much better than supper (chicken panini - was cold & bland).

staff was VERY friendly - received complementary upgrade from front desk.

room was clean and did not smell - it was hot AND humid - no dampness - propped open balcony door for fresh air (and jet fumes!)

I would stay here again!!!

“LOVE MY STAY @ THE Renaissance Concourse Hotel/AT THE AIRPORT IN ATLANTA, GA”

Renaissance Concourse Hotel

5 of 5 stars

From the time I booked my room directly for the hotel website, I was able to reserve with a credit card with good holiday rate. They had a check list of request which one was an early check in. The hotel emailed me for another services, and updated me when it was close to my check in date. I called to confirm and everything as a go. The shuttle service was on point~ not even 10 mins from the airport~ very nice driver~

the hotel was booked, but we did not get in each others way~

The hotel is an understatement, you have to be there to see it's really nice decor and maintained well~~ the front desk gave me a choice of a baloney facing the airport or the parking lot~ the low floor was available facing the airport~

I had a corner room on the 3 fl~ wonderful view~ the room itself was nice with coffee maker and free HBO~

noisy doing the day that’s only if you are setting outside ~ but the room is sound proof enough with black out curtains and by night the incoming and outgoing flights were at a standstill~ nice and quite~

the only noise were the kids that were in town for baseball games and from talking to one of the coach’s earlier they had a late games, ~ which I did not mind~ b/c the bed was sooooo comfortable, I could have bought it home with me~

breakfast and dinner was good~ the dinner area was an open area were you could see everything even a view of the airport, and the glass elevators~

Customer services was magnificent the hostess was very personal and helpful with some of the questions I had about the hotel~ the front desk assisted me with getting a points card right on the spot~

the driver that took me to the airport was very nice and stop at the gas station to get me a Atlanta paper~

I must say Atlanta does have good old fashion southern hospitality ~

I would like to add, if you in Atlanta, at the airport, they do have a MARTA (local train ) that will take you in town for sightseeing, I will do that the next time I am there~

over all, I love this hotel and will come back.

“Excellent value for money....great if you love planes”

Renaissance Concourse Hotel

We wanted a place to stay before and after our flights to/from Atlanta, and this hotel had some good offers.

We stayed in both the airport facing and city facing rooms. The airport side was great to watch the planes take off and land, but not if you wanted to sleep. We had little trouble sleeping, since we had flown over from Europe and hence were knackered - the planes seem to stop around 11 pm and start landing again at 5am, take off from 6 am. Light sleepers however, beware.

The city facing rooms were much quieter. Both rooms were large and comfortable.

We had a problem with the first room, in that the toilet stopped flushing in the middle of the night! When we reported this in the morning, they apologised and treated us to continental breakfast (which was not included in our rate).

A hop in the car took us to Ruby Tuesday's for dinner. Great ribs! There is also a Waffle House if you don't want to pay the extortionate breakfast fee.

“Leaky stinky AC Good thing we were toasted!”

Renaissance Concourse Hotel

May 18, 2008

We checked in with a large group, each getting a room per couple. When we got there, we thought the room smelled stinky, but figured if we ran the AC awhile, it would improve. It was rather warm as well. We turned on the ac and we went out partying until the late hours. When we got back the whole entry floor was wet and stinky, but it was much too late to get a new room, so we just dealt with it. When we awoke, even wetter, the ac was obviously the culprit. Pluses: Bar is very nice .(beginning of the toasted evening!) The bed was fabulous. I am not a fan of the sound of landing and departing airl\planes, so I found the room too noisy, as it was on the concourse side. I am sure the management would have changed my room if I had requested, but I also expect to not be asigned a room that is stinky and leaky to begin with. Lesson learned: Change rooms before you get toasted!

“Two days at the Renaissance!”

Renaissance Concourse Hotel

4 of 5 stars
Indianapolis, IN
May 4, 2008

I recently stayed at the Renaissance Hotel for two days on a last minute business trip. This was probably one of the better hotels I have ever stayed at. I can honestly say I was greeted by every single staff person I passed in my two days of meetings and staying at the hotel. Any time I looked lost, I had someone within a minute asking me if they could direct me. All of my peers shared the same opinion. That to me is world class! My room was extremely CLEAN and very SPACIOUS. The ONE and ONLY problem I had with the hotel was that my room was about 500 feet from a runway at one the countries largest and busiest airports. During the evening it was nice to sit out on the patio and watch planes land every 30 seconds, however hearing them at 3:30am meant not getting a good night's sleep either night. Being so close to the airport also meant getting in and out of Atlanta was a breeze. Overall, a great hotel. The staff and the rooms make this hotel worth staying at. I would recommend it and would stay again, just ask for a room facing away from the airport!
