Very friendly, helpful staff, the rooms are among the nicest and can not be beat for the value, you WILL not find a nicer room at this price point. The staff were helpful with directions and suggestions a to where to eat. very friendly people. the hotel is across the street from the beach and it is worth asking for an ocean view room as there are probably only eight with a dead on view of the gulf. walk across the street and enjoy one of the nicest beaches around walk down to the jetty and walk the sidewalk out to the end. also try the italian restaurant down the street for dinner and the sunspree for breakfast. all great hits with us and recommended by the staff.
the rooms have real kitchens nicely appointed full size range, over the range microwave, fridge, and all the essentials, the closet is a huge almost walkin style where you can hang all your clothes as well as stow luggage and all those treasures you find, the beds are superb very comfortable, the bathrooms are very nice tile floors, huge tile walkin showers. as I said the rooms can Not be beat.

If you like a 20+ mile long sandy beach across the street and quiet solitude, this hotel is for you. If you don't, this hotel is miles from anything and offering very few amenities. A car is essential as cab fares to get anywhere would be considerable. I also personally don't appreciate cleaning staff leaving an envelope encouraging a tip. Otherwise a nice clean place to stay for long walks along the shore.

What a trip! My first night at Bahia Mar I discovered that there was no hot water in the shower. Nothing could be done about it as they don't have any staff on site overnight. The second night there was still no hot water after being assured by the manager that the problem would be fixed. The third morning they finally moved me to another room. That night there were very loud neighbours and again nothing could be done about it - no staff on site. The third day the maid came into the room, left a tip envelope, didn't do anything, didn't leave fresh linens and then left the door wide open! When I complained to the front desk clerk they said they would mention it to the manager and see what they could do about it. The next time I went out the clerk told me that the manager didn't have anything to say and couldn't do anything about my problems. I will never stay there again and can't imagine how a hotel as badly managed as Bahia Mar stays in business. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

Me and my husband had not been away together in about 5 years and his birthday was coming up i went on line to look for a place, I came across this place that was having a birthday special. So i booked it for 1 night. Kathy was wonderful !! and so was the place it is what we needed a night away from everyone. the people here are just so nice any thing you need they are right there. we plan on trying to get away once a month and will be going back here to stay. . i want to tell kathy and everyone there Thank you !!!!
