“Adequate”

Quality Suites Albuquerque

Oct 23, 2007

It looks like they may have recently replaced the carpet - the carpeted baseboards in my room were not the same as the new carpet on the floor. But the room was well-designed, and it was clean and comfortable.

The breakfast was not as good as provided by many competitors.

Location was good for the Balloon Fiesta and otherwise convenient.

Reasonable value for the money.

I read some bad reviews on this site but honestly I did not see any of those problems while I was there. The rooms were ok, but clean. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms were clean. The breakfast was ok as well. Cereal, eggs, gravy and biscuits were the fare. About $50 less than the other ones around so thin carpet is worth it in my opinion. Stay with confidence.

“Awful--disgusting, dirty, filthy motel---don't ever stay here”

Quality Suites Albuquerque

Sunny California
Oct 2, 2007

This hotel is awful. The lobby isn't too bad, which is deceiving as the rooms are cramped and poorly maintained. We have a "King No Smoking Suite". This means there are 2 really small rooms connected by a very narrow passage way between the sink and bathroom.

The carpet is stained and so thin without padding that I kept socks on the entire time so my feet would not touch the floor. You can hear the TV from the next room. You can hear people talking in their rooms as you walk down the hallway--the walls and floors are very thin and noisy to walk on and you can hear people talking.

There are people milling around in the hallways so there is a feeling that maybe some people may be living here for extended periods of time.

There is no book of services or amenities--the normal Quality Inn/Suites Notebook is empty!

The rooms face the freeway or San Antonio Road so you hear traffic all the time--continuous. No restful experience--just noise.

We were tired and needed to get off the road and sleep--that is the only reason I did not turn around and leave. I thought I could adjust to the room. My recommendation is to never come here.

In addition to the gross rooms, I went to get a cold bottled water and the machine was broken. I thought about swimming in the 'heated pool and spa' they advertise clearly on a letter board sign as you enter the motel--the pool was closed for repairs indefinitely. The fitness room has instructions for a treadmill on the wall, but there is no treadmill. There are weights, a bicycle and stairstepper. These were also poorly maintaine.

Our room just has a bad feel to it. In addition to the worn, dirty carpet, the furniture is really dated and has marks and scratches all over. The light bulb are out in some of the lamps and in the suite living room area, there is a ceiling fan with 3 one-hundred watt bulbs that are so bright it is ridiculous.

The sad part is that we have been on a roadtrip and stayed at several very nice Choice brand hotels that were clean and had great amenities, such as heated pools, fitness rooms, nice breakfast and very modern furnished, clean rooms

This low-grade motel should be removed from the Choice Brand. It is really not up to acceptable standards.

So, please do yourself a favor and never come here. I plan on writing Choice Hotels to let them know that they have a dump hotel in their system and it should be removed.

“Another Filthy Quality Inn!”

Quality Suites Albuquerque

This is the second Quality Inn in Albuquerque that we stayed at and both were filthy! Our room was only half cleaned with a pile of dirt just as you walked in the door, no towels and no toilet paper!
The non-smoking hallway wreaked of smoke. The elevator looked like it had not been cleaned in months. Breakfast : you had to order it from a cook who was sick! The saving grace at this hotel was the outstanding young man at the front desk and the view of the Sandias from our window.

“No Hot Water”

Spent the night at the hotel and woke up to find no hot water in my room.
Had to cold shower and then catch my flight home.
Very incomfortable. Told front desk and they would not comp my room for
no hot water. One other minor problem. The curtains to keep the parking lot lights do not close all of the way. Had to wake up to light in my eyes several times.
