This hotel was a pleasant surprise. Everything from the lobby, restaurant, bar, pool and rooms were more than we expected. Nicely decorated & clean. The free breakfast in the morning was very good, the staff was friendly & helpful and the hotel was convenient to wak to everything: mall, riverwalk, The Alamo, restaurants and the convention center. The city is beautiful and the people friendly. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and look forward to visiting San Antonio again.

This is a very clean and pleasant hotel. The room was quiet and clean, bed was comfortable. Rooms open to indoor hallway, which is unique to La Quinta, and definetly something I look for since I travel with my teenage daughter. Staff and manager were extremely helpful and pleasant. The rates are VERY good for San Antonio. It is conveniently located near the highway to the downtown attractions, but not so close that you get highway noise like a lot of hotels. Shopping and a good selection of restauarnts close by. Walmart within walking distance which cames in handy if you forgot something. I lived in San Antonio until recently and I can tell you this it is in a nice family neighbor and felt safe staying here. Pool was nice and clean. Overall this hotel is a 10 in my book.

This La Quinta won a 2006 Renovation Award, and we can see why. Our room, which had two double beds, was perfect in every way. Nice furnishings, comfortable beds, clean, no bugs whatsoever, all ameniies, including refrigerator and microwave and internet access. The maid service was very good. Our maid took the time to straighten up our things in the bathroom and make our room more appealing when we arrived back after a long day at the AIA Convention. The front-desk staff was excllent, too. Manager Stan Graham is a very jovial and cordial fellow and appreciated our compliments. The breakfast was very good, too.. Freshly-baked waffles, fruit, cereal, yogurt, pastries, bagels, sausage muffins, etc. No eggs and bacon, but who needs that every day? Location very convenient to expressway and only 6 miles from downtown attractions. We higly recommend this La Quinta and would stay there again unless we decide to pay the big $$$ and stay on the Riverwalk.

Even though this chain claims to be pet friendly, they are the most unfriendly I have ever encountered at this location. After one night we had to cancell our reservation because the manager choose not to honor the companies policy that a pet could be left in the room only if it was crated. We brought our pets crate just for that purpose. In his terms we could not even leave the pet in the crate to go to dinner!
