First of all, $100 on priceline seemed like a great price for a four star hotel. This Marriott is not four star quality, structurally the walls are too thin. We had to sleep with our bathroom door closed but even then--we heard all our adjoining neighbors take showers, flush toilets and turn their taps on. There are three Marriotts in the Riverwalk area--I suggest the Rivercentre. The other two are directly above the riverwalk and updated. The Plaza was a further walk away from the riverwalk.
I asked for a fridge and a crib. The crib was actually a pack'n play. The fridge--is a mini bar fridge delivered if there are any available (v.strange).
The hotel lobby was great. One of the elevators in the main lobby was broken so that left one in service--there is another one down the hall by the ice machines. I had a stroller so I relied on the elevator and at times they were long waits.
The a/c was blasting in the room, it was either v.cold or we just turned it off at night. There is a nice pool outside that is 5ft deep at most. They have a little step/waterfall that runs through a shallow pool for babies into the bigger pool. My daugther enjoyed the pool v.much and there were areas with shade available. They have birds and peacocks roaming the pool area. I suggest a room that faces anywhere but the pool area because in the night and early morning they make these really loud cat noises!
Overall, if I had paid $60-80, perhaps I would've been satistfied with the hotel but it makes me reconsider bidding on priceline for a four star hotel. There is nothing better than four stars so that leaves me questionning what types of four stars are available for bidding on priceline. I will be writing them also.
