My friends and I have made use of the Santa Fe Motel 6 on many occasions, for skiing, shopping, the opera, etc. Even when other properties are booked, they often have a room available.

The staff has been for the most part accommodating and efficient. We've had to cancel, change dates, change billing to different credit cards, and they've never let us down so far.

The parking lot is a bit on the tight side, so people traveling with large vehicles or trailers should go elsewhere. The rooms are typical Motel 6: gypsum wallboard boxes. They've always been clean, although typical of many chain motels, the smell of smoke does seem to pervade the carpet and mattresses. Still, it's hard to argue with the price and the convenience. I know I'll be staying there again when the snow starts falling.
