“Nice Hotel but wait for all renovations to be complete.”

Stayed here the last week in June on business. The place used to be a Radisson but I believe now that it is a Hitlon it is undergoing renovations. The rooms have a modern/contemporary decor and the beds were very comfortable. The best feature were the 42 in LCD hign def TVs in the rooms with a wide selection of movies. One night the cable TV went out so I was able to watch a movie (ppv) on the house.

The one odd thing is that wall seemed exceptionally thin in that I could hear a lot of noise from the neighboring rooms and hallways. Another thing is the bathroom has no bath, only an oversized shower.

The location is at the end of Waikiki about block from the beach and within walking distance of most dining and shopping opportunities the area has to offer. It is valet only parking (common to Waikiki) for about 20 bucks a day.

My main gripe is that since they are still in the process of renovation, the first dozen or so floors are closed off. As a result, you have to take a separate elevator to the pool area (10th floor) which is quite inconvenient.

In summary once these renovations are complete it should be a great hotel.

We stayed here June 23-July1. Great hotel. We enjoyed MAC. The portions are huge, so you can share them. If going to Hanuma Bay, don't listen to the women with the food carts at the top. They lie. They wil tell you that you can't buy food or drink in the park. You can, although their water is less. Oh.. it's closed on Tuesdays to let the fish recover.

Also, look in TGIf for coupons. We got 50% off at shorebird...and it has a great view, with a live band most nights.. if not all nights. The hotel give you a free paper every day.

Don't waste your time going to China Town or Restaurant Row. We were disappointed with both..and China Town is dirty. I've been to a few (NY, San Fran, and Montreal).
I would stay here again

We stayed here from June 15-June 18. We were on the 27th floor, ocean view. Balconies were open, all new appointments. Very comfortable beds, nice bathroom, enough space for 4. Breakfast was included-- continental included pineapple, croissants, cinnamon buns, or blueberry scones, coffee, tea. The American breakfast was eggs, fried potatoes, bacon, sausage, or ham, toast or rolls, very satisfactory. We loved the fresh pineapple every morning. Elevators were very fast, never had to wait. Had the snacks and drinks in the lobby in the evening. The parking attendants were very helpful. We were a block from the beach right by the pavilion and ABC stores on about every corner. Very convenient and all in all, a great stay. We'd stay again.

I can't express how much I loved this hotel, and how comfortable I was there. I booked a room thru the hotel's site directly - went with
room designated at check-in, which was the lowest rate by the way. When I got there, I had 30th floor, Ocean View, and I could use the balcony, too. Low key hotel, off the strip with a gorgeous view, and very well appointed rooms. Not fancy, but very comfortable and mod. Bathroom was great, although water pressure could have been better (but it was the 30th floor!). Very comfortable beds with nice linens,
and hotel staff were really pleasant. I really felt like the hotel was my home away from home. Stayed two nights right before memorial day, and then I went off to the North Shore to a beach house.

“My new favorite in Waikiki”

Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio Hotel

I stayed at this hotel after I checked out of another (very expensive) hotel in Waikiki. I could not have been more pleased. I go to Honolulu at least once a year on business and I have stayed at several hotels in Waikiki. This is my new favorite place to stay. It is totally remodeled and has a very cool urban vibe (flatscreen TV's, great lobby bar). The rooms are totally remodeled and the bathrooms are spectacular. The hotel is about a block off the Waikiki strip and it is very quiet and was perfect for my business trip. There is free wireless internet in the lobby, and the bar has a very quiet, low-key professional feel. I absolutely loved this place and I will surely be back! I really loved this hotel for business travel, but people should know that it's not a resort-style hotel (like Hilton Hawaiian Village). It's was fine with me because I prefer less noise anyway, even if I'm on vacation.
