We spent a week at the Embassy Suites in a one-bedroom suite. The location is far better than most--just across the street and down a short walkway to the beach. Just down the hallway from the registration desk are several shops and fun eateries.
The room was fine but a little smaller than other Embassy Suites we've stayed in. One pleasant surpise was that our city view room had a nice view of the ocean from the balcony. The courtesy breakfast was hit with the kids, offering pancakes, french toast, potatoes, omlets, scambled eggs, sausage, bacon, and breads every day. The kids loved the pool, which was very clean, with a little shallow area just right for our young ones. The hotel has a coin laundry facility, which after talking around, I found was rare for Waikiki.
Our main disappointment with the hotel was the lackluster housekeeping. Several days there was still a lot of sand on the bathroom floor after "cleaning". OUr kids made some big smudges on the coffee table and sliding glass door on the second day that were never removed.
Overall though, it was a pleasant experience and I would recommend this hotel if you need the space offered by a suite.
