We had a wonderful time here on our honeymoon! The staff is excellent; they make a point to learn your name and tell you theirs. Management takes time to stroll around and visit with guests. The dive and snorkling tours were excellent. Our room was spacious and nice. The continental breakfasts are great. Lots of fresh fruit, the usual cereals, plus usually a hot main dish and something sweet. And lots of fresh fruit juice.

Only downside is that if you're looking for a wide expanse of beach to lay on, the one here was a little short and steep. But the resort provides adirondack chairs and lounge chairs to use. Plus they have a nice pool.

We stayed in a honeymoon suite, but I think they get so many honeymooners that basically all of the units are "honeymoon suites." Based on what our married friends told us their honeymoon experiences were like (not here, just in general), I guess I expected a little more hoopla for us, like maybe free champagne on the first night. Although our turndown service on the first night included flowers on the bed and in the bathroom, which was nice. So I think if you want something special, just request it. They were great to work with us on anything we asked them for.

Overall, it was a fantastic trip in a beautiful paradise! I would love to go back.

We expected a great stay at Hamanasi from all the wonderful reviews on TripAdvisor, and Hamanasi delivered. It was the perfect honeymoon. We stayed in the honeymoon treehouse, which was unbelievable. A beautiful spacious inside, with a huge deck complete with a hot tub. The floral turndown every night was a great touch. We also had a private dinner on our deck one night which was perfect. The food was amazing, and King fixes up some of the best mixed drinks I've ever had.

The whole staff at Hamanasi is top notch. From the management, to the waitstaff, to the kitchen staff, to the maintenance workers, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. We took a fishing trip and brought back a big grouper and tuna, which the kitchen cooked to perfection. I have really never been to a place with such wonderful staff.

The adventures were a blast. We snorkeled, fished, did the Mayflower hike, the Jaguar Preserve, and the cabe tubing/ziplining. All the guides were knowledgeable and fun.

Hopkins is also a great town. Don't miss out on going to karaoke. It is a blast. My husband and I will undoubtedly return for one of our anniversaries. Thank you Hamanasi!

Beach, ocean and rainforest hiking. The Myan ruins, Monkey river boating, caves, waterfalls and awesome diving. Oh, and very friendly people who speak English as a first language (thanks to the British, for better or worse). Thats Belize and that was our honeymoon and it was great. The Hamanasi is the perfect home in between it all. We had one of the tree level houses and it was awesome, great room, nice showers and awesome front porch. The food was surprisingly very good, different menu every night and very friendly bar to look forward to after a day of activity. The Hamanasi staff offers numerous day activities. One tip, have cash with you, there are no ATM's. You can put everything on your "tab" but you'll want money for tips and peace of mind. All in, we recommend Hamanasi for Honeymooners, couples in general and those who want beach and adventure, or just some peace in a beautiful place. Not recommended for singles looking to hook up. Resorts in Belize are not cheap, but overall, they deliver very good value for your money.

Our vacation to Hamanasi was so nice. I wife (then girlfriend) and I stayed in a treehouse room which was really great because they're so private. We bought the 5 day adventure package

The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. Walking through the jungle path to get the room was a delight each time. No TV! You're there to get away from normal life.

The food and drinks at Hamanasi were so very good. The different soups with dinner every night were to die for.

The diving was pretty good. This isn't the best place to go if that is your absolute top priority due to the 30-45 minute ride out to the reef. Trips to the atolls were 2 hours one way (we didn't opt). But this was all offset by the great selection of land adventures that they had to choose from. All very fun. Also No shore diving.

The staff was great.
I'm currently planning our '08 summer trip and was realy tempted to go back to Hamanasi.

Oh ya one more thing... When the pilot starts the approach into Dangriga... that is a runway cut into the jungle and not a stick of gum as it might appear.
