It's all about the view! Excellent location, for the view, and also because we enjoyed being a bit away from the craziness of Fira. Yes, there are lots of stairs. Yes, the room is just of average size. But the view!! As others have stated, the pictures give an accurate portrayal of the property. Our only caution is that we picked this property because we wanted a private balconey, and even though it was advertised as every room having one, this was definitely not the case. Some were side by side, some had a public walkway in front of them (your 'balcony' has a few feet high wall around it). Luckily, our balcony was quite private, right on the caldera. If this is important to you, ask for room #4, but beware that it is the furthest room from the pool and breakfast room--you will get your exercise! We really enjoyed the 'free' sail but be aware that you have to pay for transportation to the dock (12E) and you also have to pay for insurance (10E). The pool is great but cold! (no pools are heated)

This is the place where everyone stops by and takes a picture of the property. We had a wonderful stay in one of the cave rooms. The staff is very helpful. The only issue is hard beds but that is common in Greece. I'd definately stay here again.

Magnificient views, great accommodation, Yiannis and his lovely wife are the perfect proprietors, the staff was great. If you want a perfect place to stay...choose this hotel.

This small hotel was absoulely excellent. The rooms were charming and well decorated. We were greeted individually and given a tour of the facilities and shown around the features of our rooms The staff made the effort to know us by name and the service was perfect down to the last detail.

A previous reviewer commented correctly that the bathrooms are small. Another reviewer mentioned that shampoo etc was only provided once but failed to mention that the bottle provided with the room was about 10 times the size of a normal hotel bottle.

Finally, Santorini is all about the view. People come from all over to see the sunset from the church in Imerovigli.
Honeymoon Petra is almost directly beside the church and has a spectacular view from morning to night.

The owner Yianni is often at the pool. He is friendly and charming. if you stay 4 nights or more, he will take you out on his boat.

I would highly recommend this hotel.
