First, let me apologize to Despina for not writing this review sooner. Too much to do after vacations. My wife and I celebrated her B'day last September in Anastasi's. While looking for a suitable location I came across this "hidden gem" in TripAdvisor. Initially I looked only out of curiosity, thinking that, like many other places in Santorini, it would be out of reach money-wise. To my delight I realized that it was actually within my budget. I immediately e-mailed the place, hoping for vacancy for those days, after all it was six months before our trip. Despina responded within 24 hrs. and a series of messages were exchanged. She was most helpful and we came to an arrangement by which we would spend four days in the White Room and the last in another room because of availability. Done !

A taxi, sent by Despina, was waiting for us at the airport. From the beginning we were treated like royalty. It's only ten rooms after all and everyone, guests and staff, get to know each other well. In a setting like this people are always in the good mood. The Apartments are spectacular. Perched on top of a cliff you pretty much have the whole caldera in front of you. When the sun sets and you're sitting on your balcony with a glass of wine, or in the pool, you thank your personal gods for having taken you to this particular place in the planet. Almost as important, you soon realize that Despina and her staff will do anything possible to make your stay one of the most memorable vacations you can ever take.

I'll let everyone else talk about the cleanliness, or the many amenities of Anastasis Apartments. All true. To us, it was the sheer architectonic beauty of the building, the pool, and the gardens what took our breath away. The care with which every angle, every object around, has been set. It's true love for the island and this especial location what is revealed from the moment you set foot there. You cannot take a bad picture, inside or outside. We will be back, Despina, we will be back ( provided you don't jack up your prices too much after this review ). Thanks for everything.

My husband and I stayed at the Anastasis Apartments during part of our honeymoon at the end of October last year. We spent 4 nights in the Anastasis Suite and we felt like part of the family from the minute we stepped foot on Despina's luxurious property. It's no secret that she and her family take tremendous pride in what they do. The property is maintained to the highest possible standard. And their main priority is taking care of their patrons which is evident in every little thing they do -- from helping you find the perfect restaurant for dinner or even offering to assist you with laundry. They go above and beyond. We literally felt as if we were staying at Mom's place. Despina is amazing and if you're lucky, she'll even give you a lesson in Greek! We can't wait to return - hopefully during the busy season in the summer.

We are a little late getting to this review but we had such a wonderful experience that we had to let other travelers know about our experience.
We booked this hotel for the 2nd half of honeymoon after spending 4 days in Mykonos. We didn't really know what to expect but after arriving and meeting with Despina (the owner of the hotel), we knew we picked the right place to stay. The hotel is pristine and absolutely gorgeous and our room (the honeymoon suite) was perfect. It has a huge private deck looking over the caldera and has a double person jacuzzi that also looks over the caldera. The breakfast in the morning is included and is absolutely delicious. When you first get to the hotel, you are greeted by Despina and treated to complimentary wine and an afternoon snack while you enjoy your first couple hours looking over the caldera and really getting to take in the beautiful views from the deck. I would definitely recommend staying in this part of Santorini because it is a perfect distance from Oia and Fira and other areas but is quiet and very romantic. Public transportation is very easy to use and would definitely recommend using only public transportation instead of renting your own vehicle. Despina is very good at helping you figure out what to do and where to go. She has great restaurant recommendations and also activity recommendations. Having Despina there to help really takes the pressure off trying to navigate the island and try to find all of the great places yourself.

We would 100% recommend this hotel and can't wait to return!

It was about this time last year that I began my search for the perfect hotels for our first visit to Greece. I read all the reviews of hotels in Santorini and I kept returning to the Anastasis Apartments. The reviews seemed too good to be true. Honestly, the whole experience was fantastic. We loved our room, the pool, the sunsets, the private hot tub experience on our anniversary, and most of all Despina and her staff. September on Santorini is lovely.

The hiking trail around the caldera is right outside the gate and we enjoyed our walk to Oia and the celebratory lunch. The bus trip back was easy and the bus stop is a stone's throw from the hotel. When we arrived from Crete, we took advantage of the pick up at the hydrofoil dock. It was worth it because the dock is quite a distance from the hotel. Despina wisely advised us to rent a car for our last 24 hours on the island. The car was delivered to the hotel and we dropped it off at the airport. For almost the same price as a taxi to the airport, we had a day to explore the island - wineries, an art gallery in a cave, a hilltop town and the black beach.

Despina and her husband could not be nicer. We flunked our Greek lesson and she still hugged us when we departed.
