My hubby and I spent 2 days of our honeymoon in this studio apartment. It was pretty difficult locating the property (especially with our luggauges) but managed eventually with the help of friendly cafe waiters :)

The cavehouse we got was very nicely furnished, very clean and comfortable. The hotel manager was very helpful as well. The only problem was the lack of a view. The front of our studio apartment was blocked by a stone structure of sort thus there was absolutly no view. But it was alright as we had our dinner at Ammoundi Bay and saw the most magnificent sunset ever in our life!

My wife and i have visited Greece in mid-June for 2 weeks. islands we have visited include Crete, Santorini and Mykonos. All these islands have their specific characters and are worth visiting. My best experience is in Santorini and I think Archouses contribute the most to it.

The hotel is located on the cliff side of Imerovigli, having a breath-taking view of the sea and volcano. The rooms are well designed and decorated. The owner, Flora is more than a hotel manager. She is such an artistic lady that when you are staying in the rooms, you can feel that every details in the room are carefully designed to make everything beautiful and comfortable, if not perfect....

Flora is nice and helpful. In the last night of our stay we got upgraded to a bigger appartment (Mediteranean) with no additional charge. I don't mean you should take it for granted but that's just what happen to us.

I've stayed in apartment Stone and Medditeranean. Both of them are on the upper level which gives you a better view. I suggest not to save the money for the lower level since you really miss something important. Both apartments have kitchen so you can enjoy cooking (if you do) in your room and having meals in the balcony. My wife have cooked 3 simple dinner. Remember the dishes are not very important, the sunset is always the main dishes.

Archouses is the hotel that we have spent most of the time staying there, disregard the fact that there is no swimming pool, gym or other fancy facilites. The truth is, do you think you wanna have a 1.5 hours muscle building class everyday during your Greece journey? Better save yourself some money for factilities that you will never use.

I highly recommend this hotel to everyone who plan to visit Santorini. I would like to take this chance to thank Flora for helping my Greece journey to be such a sweet and fantastic one.

There are loads of hotels to choice from, but now that you’re reading this, look no further …… you have found the very best! Flora, the owner was so friendly and so helpful we can’t say enough good things about her. Flora is an architect and wow has she ever done a great job making each room unique and beautiful. The attention to detail and amazing stone floors throughout the hotel will inspire you to run home to use her ideas in your own home.

We stayed in 2 different rooms, the Mediterranean and Stone rooms (both equipped with kitchens). The Stone room is so unique and like nothing you have ever seen … and the Mediterranean room, well it’s just amazing, and what a balcony! If you look on Flora’s website you will see images of each (and the pictures are just like the real thing). If you are honeymooning, we would suggest the Mediterranean room. We would wake up each morning, open the doors and windows to the room, then climb back into bed and look out at the caldera views.

Instead of spending extra money to enjoy the caldera view sunsets at a restaurant, we would suggest paying the few extra dollars for the Mediterranean room where you can cook a meal or pick-up some takeout ($2.50 gyros …. yum yum) and enjoy dinner on your own private balcony (don’t forget the wine). You will be enjoying your meal at one of the highest points in Santorini with one of THE BEST sunset views … ROMANTIC!!! Trust me…you will not be sorry!!! If the Mediterranean is booked, the Stone room also has it’s own unique balcony where you can enjoy great views. All the rooms are truly great so your can't really lose.

Between the architecture of the ARCHouses, the views, the sunsets and the friendly service, you will be fully relaxed and overjoyed that you chose to stay in the best place on Santorini Island.
