A young, energetic staff keeps this hotel going strong. From the concierge to the wait staff, all are very strong and customer oriented. I found them very attentive, even to the point of being able to render first aide and help save someone who was choking on a bite of food. Thank you Arnaud. As far as the hotel, it is a strong 3, low 4 star. The only fault I could find is stairway and hallways are a little tight. The swimming pool is nice and my daughters enjoyed it very much. There are 2 bars. The food in both restaurants is very good but I recommend the cheaper club house (brassierre) ala cart menu. A walk into the small, charming town of Port en Bessin takes about 15 minutes. And if you are a golfer, the golf course next to the hotel is beautiful. A picture of a happly, visiting Arnold Palmer tells all. But the main show in the area is the DDay beaches, which this hotel is basically in the middle of all of them. Lastly, there is Bayeaux nearby with the tapestry and tons of little shops and very good restaurants. You cannot go wrong with this hotel -- the people are nice and willing to help and go the extra distance -- and they speak good English and are willing to help with the French if you prefer.
