We spent 3 nights in the hotel and we are surprised by the nice hotel. The people in the receptcion are very nice and helpful. They give us information about what to do and where to go to eat.
The rooms are totally reformed and spacious. The breakfast is from 6 to 11 so we could have breakfast until late.

The hotel is situated in Castelldefels Platja right across the road from the beach, nice and peaceful (apart from the odd plane going over!). No hassle with a few quiet beach bars.

It has a nice reception area, the staff speak a little English and were extremely helpful. We asked at reception if we could have a room with a balcony and they changed our room immediately – a good move as we had glorious weather and were able to sit out in the evening sun till about 6.30 – 7 pm.

The hotel is geared for business travellers and there weren’t many tourists staying there, having said that they have got a nice swimming pool (and do provide pool towels so you don’t have to lug that extra weight in your suitcase). The maids are obviously used to the rooms being empty early – we were woken up on several occasions with them chattering outside our door at 8 am! (the main downside!!).

There are several bars and restaurants within walking distance – It was a bit quiet as quite a few were closed. There is hardly any English spoken here and we didn't see any menus in English - fantastic!! It was a great opportunity to make the effort and learn a little Spanish! Thurs, Fri & Sat nights were busy (in a nice way- no lager louts here!) We loved the tapas and the red wine!! (Oh yes and the bottles of Cava on the balcony at sunset!).

It was nice to come back to the resort and chill out after the frantic pace of Barcelona.

Barcelona is only 30 mins by train (€6.30 for a 10 ride ticket!!). Trains run every 30 minutes until about midnight but don’t get off at Barcelona Sants (the main station) stay on until the Passieg de Gracia it’s much nearer to the main shopping and sightseeing areas.

When visiting Barcelona the two day pass on the tourist bus (€21) is a must as everything is so spread out, it’s great to be able to hop on and off and visit the sights. It was gloriously warm when we were there so we elected for a nice stroll through Montjuic Park and ride down in the cable car to the beach! Barcelona speaks for itself so enough said!!

We booked this hotel after seeing a review on TripAdvisor. It is a great hotel! The staff are very friendly although their English is limited and we could not speak any Spanish. The rooms are modern and very clean. The breakfasts were great as there was a large selection to choose from. We spent most afternoons by the pool and were the only people doing so - the pool was all ours! It is a business hotel so is very quiet during the day.

The hotel is 100 yards from some of the best beaches in Spain. The beaches are generally used by Spanish people and there are no Union Jack towels in sight. Mondays to Fridays, the beach is deserted.

After one night in a very bad 4* hotel in the center of Barcelona we moved here to this hotel in Castelldefels Playa, exactly 21 mins from Barcelona Sants, by train. With the 10 journey ticket we were in and out of Barcelona every day for 50 cent a time. We had a swim in the sparkling pool every day before changing for dinner. The hotel changed towels every day and bed sheets it seemed every second day. The bedroom was spacious and the television had lots of channels. Buffet breakfast was the best I have ever had with fresh fruit including Strawberries, Cherries two types of Melon, Cereals, great variety of breads and Croissants, Hams and other dried meats, Cheese, Desserts!, and freshly made Coffee/Tea. The staff were helpful anf friendly.Castelldefels town is a short distance away, but the beach area has numerous restaurants so there is no need to go far.
