Wonderful hotel. Very tasteful and large rooms.

The Filini restaurant is above average. But tomatoes are kept in a refrigerator which makes them with out taste.

Staffs are competent and friendly.

Good central location.

I'm at my hotel room right now, writing this review and I've got to say that this hotel is amazing. I've stayed here since monday, and I just don't want to travel home. The rooms are huge new, clean and full of luxury like the rest of the hotel. The bathroom is excellent, the staff is friendly and It's a super fast internet connection here. The best thing with this trip was on thursday, when the town was completely in fire and flames because there were a movie or something that had a premiere, and there I saw the the 1980's icon "Don Johnson" from "Miami Vice" - And He stayed at the Radisson hotel. I know It was him, because there was a big press conference around him, and I've got three seasons of "Miami Vice" on dvd at home. Anyway, the hotel Is amazing and I advise everyone to visit this hotel.

I stayed here one week-end in February. Arriving in the afternoon I was lucky to find a parking spot, the space close to the hotel was filled up, and I didn’t know about the underground parking till I asked. Spacious reception area with adjacent lounge. Local staff friendly and helpful, the room was OK, wireless internet worked as a smooth dream. Spotlessly clean. Breakfast was very good, as always with Radisson SAS. Eggs could be made on demand, coffe pot on the table. As a safety precaution the lift is key-card operated, and stairways between reception floor level 1 and next floor is one-way locked (open for downcoming guests), if you like to be sporty and run them reception will unlock. At top floor there is a bar and dancing floor, clearly the city’s in-spot. Crammed with people, no overly drunkens, the minor negative which has nothing to do with the hotel as such was that the odour of sweating dancers became overwhelmingly as hours went on. Would definitely stay here again.

We were in town primarily to see the band "a-ha" playing at the football club. No need to take a taxi if you are arriving by train. Just take a right and walk straight on for about 15 minutes when you exit the station.

This was a great choice of hotel, made even better by a free night stay thanks to Radisson's Gold Points! The Hotel is brand new. The cellotape was still visible on the mirrors!

The breakfast was probably the best of our entire stay in Norway. There was a plentiful supply of every type of food and drink you could possibly think of. The reindeer pate was delicious.

Rooms are large, spotlessly clean with a great range of toiletries. Complimentary Wifi access was appreciated and very easy to logon to. The lobby staff are very welcoming and friendly.

Location is excellent. Fredrikstad is quite small anyway, with everywhere pretty much walkable from the hotel, possibly apart from the Old Town. You are quite near the river anyway, which is a great place to go and people watch on those rare occasions when sun is shining. Tip: the further away you are from the river, the cheaper the dining seemed to be.

One final bonus which made my fianceé's stay - we saw Mags from a-ha checking out at the same time as us :-)
