Garden of Eden is AMAZING!!!
If you are visiting Panama and staying in the Bocas del Toro area, you need to call Helena and Bob and book yourself in immediately to the Garden of Eden.
Water and food is very good and safe at this resort. The rooms are immaculately clean, service is great and it's a small private beautiful island. We were 3 couples in total and occupied the entire place, it was perfect. There are two pool side cabanas which are great and one room that is a bit more secluded. All the rooms were lovely!
Getting to and from this palce is very easy. There are water taxis everywhere and it doesn't cost much at all. In fact, if you stay in the Bocas town, you'll likely use the water taxis anyways to get to the beaches, so why not stay at Garden of Eden in Paradise!!! The town of Bocas is dirty, food is questionable and most people get sick from the food.
Garden of Eden is literally a piece of paradise compared to Bocas del Toro.

This was our second time in Bocas and hands down, this is the best place to stay at. If you're looking for an island getaway it doesn't get any better.

The hotel is located on a private island 10 minutes from town via boat and a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of the 9 to 5 world.

We loved waking up every morning to the water breeze, laying in the hammocks, feeding the fish, snorkeling, and just relaxing!

For more adventure, you can kayak to red frog beach and around the area and the best part is... the rentals are free (most places in town charge $25+). Also, Helena can arrange a tour to the surrounding islands.

What really makes this place special though are Bob and Helena. They are very cool people and most accomodating hosts. Also, Helena is an amazing chef so there's no need to leave the island.

The hardest part about this trip was leaving!

A long overdue recommendation…

I am currently living on Isle San Cristobal where I am building a house. My girlfriend and I decided to book a room at the Garden of Eden for a few days. We boated over from San Cristobal on Christmas Eve and were pleased to see that the internet photographs did not do the place justice. It has lush botanical gardens with an inviting pool, white sand beach, several traditional palm thatched ranchos with inviting hammocks and immaculate cabins each with private ocean view balcony with hammocks. Both Helena and Bob were interesting and provided just the right amount service and space.

Christmas Eve we both enjoyed an excellent Steak and Lobster dinner and bottle of Chilean wine for the price of a pasta dish back in the states.

That night it rained all night long. When we awoke the next morning and looked out we realized our borrowed boat sunk due to the combination of heavy rains and the bilge pump did not work. Well on Christmas Day, without a complaint and smiling, Bobbie and his lead man Roberto worked all day to surface the boat, drain it and even had a mechanic come and fix the engine. Their service went way above the call of duty.

What an amazing place! Our 3 night stay was wonderful, food was wonderful and the hosts were the most hospitable people in all of Panama. They go out of their way to accomadate you in every way possible. You can tell from first glance that Bob and Helena have poured their heart and soul into perfecting the Garden of Eden. This is the only place to stay in Bocas. Thanks for everything.
