“Definitely worth a visit !!”

I will be very brief in my assessment and try and touch on a number of issues :

First off, is this the most luxurious place that you will ever stay at ? NO!!! Is this one of the best "bangs for your buck that you will ever get" on vacation, yet still be staying at an EXCELLENT place ? Without a doubt !!!

The resort is close to the Montego Bay airport (20 mins. max), the guest rooms were recently renovated and are quite nice (one warning, i found the new mattresses to be too soft --- Pillowtop. Maybe you will not have the same feeling)

The food----definitely do the all-inclusive. The food and its varied selection at the buffet will meet everyone's needs and if you should tire of going to the same place, you can go to one of their other restaurants on-site that is a regular waiter sit down restaurant.

Staff---friendly. As said previously by others, they don't look for tips but they appreciate them and you will be rewarded in return.

Drinks-- non-stop (and included in price) if your pleasure is to drink and drink on your vacation.

Pool area-- nicely done, and there is the "lazy" river also. The lazy river is not big but it is a nice addition rather than having just a pool. There is also a nice water slide that the kids and adults will get a kick out of.

GOLF--- a great course on-site. The back nine goes up into the mountains. If you are a golfer........PLAY IT ! It's called Cinammon Hills.

Speaking of the back nine.....there is a 7AM POWER WALK every morning that goes up into the hills on the back 9 and then down.
If you are in shape at all, DO IT.....great workout.

To summarize, do not hesitate to go to this resort.

“Amazing rooms”

The rooms at the Rose Hall were great. Nice beds and flat screen TV's with ihome alarms and marble bathrooms. The pools were nice although the lazy river pool was crowded with kids. It would be nice if the other pool was adults only. The beach was small but nice the left part of the beach was empty and perfect for what we were looking for. There were activities galore, which is perfect for the active traveler. We were looking for something a little more laid back, but we still enjoyed our stay. The only problem was that there were several restaurants 2 required reservations and the 1 that was left was a buffet which was good, but expensive ($54usd). The staff was friendly and helpful. Another drawback is that this resort is near NOTHING, which is good except the overpriced food selections. The cheapest taxi downtown is $50usd, which made you a slave to the resorts food prices.

We had a great time at the Rose Hall resort . Food was better than expected . Pool was fantastic . Room was clean and newly renovated. The staff was always eager to please. Beach was nice but basic would not compare to Negril or Eagle beaches .

“Excellent family all-inclusive!”

Rose Hall Resort & Spa, A Hilton Resort

Our family spent 5 nights at the Rose Hall, Jamaica. We have two 12 year olds who had never been to Jamaica until now, but have traveled on other tropical vacations. They were very happy with our resort, the selection of food was nice, they loved the on-site water park and beach as well as the activities for children. My husband and I were able to relax by the beach as the waiters came out and offered us drinks and food. The all inclusive is the only way to go, as the food is rather expensive...4 people for the dinner buffet is $160...breakfast and lunch will run about $100 for a family of 4....all-inclusive is $290 per day for a family of 4. The water sports were great, we enjoyed sailing the Hobie Cats, the kayaks and windsurfing...the ocean was so warm...about 85 degrees! Service was excellent at every bar and restaurant! Nice family get away! Make sure you book your dinner reservations for the french and italian restaurants as soon as you arrive so that you can experience the excellent gourmet foods that they have to offer. There is nightly entertainment which is low key for adults, the kids have movie nights and a marshmallow roast on the beach which the entire family will enjoy! Although tipping is not required, if you do choose to tip you will be treated extra special, so it's worth it! Make sure you bring $1 bills with you..we brought $60 worth and that seemed perfect. You will need them as soon as you arrive at the airport to tip the baggage handlers and drivers, as well as the staff at the resort. The ATM is off the property so it would be a $10 cab ride to go use the ATM. Enjoy your trip!

    • Disliked — I booked through Travelocity and they had no record of it at our check-in,,but I showed my confirmation and it was quickly taken care of, food/drinks pricey without the all-inclusive option, nightly entertainment could be much better, disco needs to be redone

“Great place to stay”

Rose Hall Resort & Spa, A Hilton Resort

Although this is a resort aimed mainly at longer stays, Rose Hall was happy to book me for a single night stopover ,and I could not have had a better experience. Staff friendly and incredibly helpful, restful atmosphere from poolside to restaurant. After a disastrous experience a week earlier at another hotel in MBay, Rose Hall came as a welcome and pleasant interlude in a busy travel schedule. I hope to return for a longer visit.
