A beautiful old convent with reasonably modern finishings and a beautiful pool set about 10 minutes drive from Cortona. You will need a car. Central to most of Tuscany and perfect for exploring.

The rooms are fairly basis but good value. I'd skip the meals offered by the host Roberto as they are basic Tuscan fare (and not cheap!) and there is better to be had in the surrounding towns for about half the price - warning: doing so will result in the host potentially adopting a frosty attitude toward you - this happened to us!

Besides that I would highly recommend this peaceful, out of the way place for someone looking for a relaxing Tuscan experience.

We stayed 5 nights and it was a truly amazing experience. Everything was perfection from the hospitality to the food. The setting allows a person time to find themselves away from the pressure of work and stress.

We stayed at Parco Fiorito for one month while shooting photos in Tuscany. The hospitality shared by Roberto, daughter Claudia and son Guiseppe could not have been better. The 16th Century main house (a former convent) is beautiful. The area surrounding the property is perfect for those that like to spend part of the day lounging around the pool and part of the day hiking. We spent several hours each day exploring one trail after another. Actually, we had to (hike everyday) as the dinners at Parco Fiorito have a way of requiring additional excersize every day. We also love the estate bottled San Giovese red wine and olive oil grown and bottled on the farm. We wanted an authentic and memorable Italian experience at a reasonalbe price. This couldn't have been any more Italian.
