Seeing that Southampton and the islands of Bermuda are surrounded by water, the options for getting here are limited to air and sea.

The Bermuda International Airport is where flights coming into the island will land.  The airport is located in St. Georges Parish and is a 30 to 40 minute drive away from Southampton.  Bermuda has the highest airport tax in the world, so prices for tickets can be higher than for other destinations in the same area.  A tax of $25 is included in the price of all ticket.  Both immigrations and customs need to passed through when entering the country.  There are numerous Airlines offering non-stop trips to Bermuda from many US and Canadian locations.  For a partial list, visit the Airlines Servicing Bermuda page.

Once landed, ground transportation is necessary to reach Southampton.  A taxi will cost around $50 - $60 US for the required 30 – 40 minute drive.  Visitors to the island are not allowed to have rental cars, so commuting by private vehicle is not an option.  Information about busses and various shuttles is available at the airport.

The port for most cruise ships around Bermuda is city of Hamilton, which is around 15 minutes from Southampton.  For more information, check out Cruises in Bermuda.
