ROCOTO PERUVIAN CUISINE

If you're looking for something a little different from the sometimes quite ordinary dining scene of London, I suggest you check out Rocoto. It doesn't matter if you've never tried Peruvian cuisine before, their helpful wait staff will guide you through the menu. The atmosphere is superb, fiery orange walls decorated with Peruvian handicrafts, traditional Peruvian music and soft lighting, makes you feel like you've left Canada and gone to Peru. The restaurant is tucked away in the Westmount area at the corner of Notre Dame Dr. and Viscount Rd. The menu choices are broad, from Peruvian ceviche which is raw strips of fish marinated in lime juice with chilis to a divine lamb braised in cilantro sauce. There are also many other seafood, meat and poultry dishes and some vegetarian options.  My husband and I dine here all the time and the quality is always consistant. Dishes are prepared to order, so food tastes very fresh, and you can request that they be made spicy or not.
