In just a few short years, Mont Tremblant has transformed itself from a fairly standard alpine resort into a bona fide mountain village, with shops, boutiques and galleries lining the charming, twisting streets. Though the whole complex is relatively new, it has a distinct Old European flair, unfortunately often with the prices to match.
Luckily, both at the resort and in town at nearby Saint-Jovite, the shopping spots are concentrated—with a stroll down a couple streets, you can find nearly everything you’d want to purchase, from souvenirs to clothing to food to sports and ski equipment.
With at least four art galleries, dozens of clothing stores and plenty of other shops specializing in gifts, knickknacks or nothing in particular, the shopping scene at Mont Tremblant extends well beyond ski and snowboard paraphernalia, though there are four dedicated ski shops and two snowboard shops if you’re looking to pick up some new gear. In Saint-Jovite, almost every store is located along the main street, rue de Saint-Jovite, a shady thoroughfare lined with shops and cafés.
In addition, both the resort and the Saint-Jovite village offer some great opportunities for treasure hunting, with a number of fine antique shops. Most of the shops, of which there are about a half dozen in total, specialize in furniture and decorative crafts.
