The Boulevard Gallery is also known as The Merrion Square Art Exhibition. It is Dublin’s only free all year open-air weekend art exhibition which now has over 200 artist exhibiting. It is the perfect place to pick up quality art. Every year new artists are allowed to exhibit so the work and artists keep changing. If you have an eye for art, you could well come away with your very own treasure.
A regular feature for many years in Dublin on a Sunday afternoon has been a stroll around Merrion Square when the square becomes an open-air art gallery. The Exhibition runs from 10.30am to 6.30pm. A good time to go is in the morning when artists bring in new work. You have to be quick because most of the best paintings are sold in the morning to art collectors.
The Exhibition is run by Dublin City Council and the Artists are only allowed to exhibit original paintings of their own creation on Merrion Square so you get to buy original art directly from the artist.
