Chapter One Parnell Sq., opposite the Garden of Remembrance(at the top of O'Connell St ) A Michelin star restaurant and a jewel of the north-side. Consistently excellent restaurant. Cuisine could best be described as Irish with a European flare. Pretty famous early bird menu, private dining room. Decor is modern and decadent. Best suited for groups of 4-8, or larger, but subdued parties.
L'Ecrivan (Baggot Street) Excellent Michelin starred restaurant. European cuisine, beautifully presented. Modern decor. Would probably best suit smaller parties, or a business lunch to impress.
Shanahans (Stephen's Green) Blow the budget expensive, but delicious American style steakhouse. Very elegant dining room, and amazing level of service. Best go for steak and sides- onion rings, mushrooms and creamy mash all amazing. Oval Office bar downstairs for pre-dinner drinks, featuring JFK's rocking chair.
Eden (Meeting House Square, Temple Bar) Uber chic, and hyper modern with great reputation. Youngish, cool crowd. Good place for couples, small parties.
Roly's (Ballsbridge Terrace, Dublin 4). A bit of a Dublin institution. Very Irish-influenced cuisine. Buzzy dining room, and prompt service. Good for parties of 4-8 for boozy lunch. Fantastic value at €20 for three-course lunch. Dining room is comfortable: a good place to people-watch.
Thornton's (The Fitzwilliam Hotel, Stephens Green, Dublin 2) is another Michelin-starred absolutely incredible eating experience. Fantastically expensive though so really for a v. special occasion. (Hard to escape under 100euros per person EX drinks, worth checking if they do a lunch deal).
Jacob's Ladder (Nassau Street, Dublin 2). Slightly faded dining-room with nice atmosphere and lovely views over Trinity College. Good pre-theatre menu (OK price) but expensive to eat a la carte. Excellent food though. French.
Cruzzo Restaurant (in the Malahide Marina) lovely views across the sound Good fish and meat dishes. Prompt service. Popular for business lunches due to its proximity Dublin Airport Lunch €27.50
