Tourists who visit Huelva have a few options when it comes to getting around with public transportation.  Within the city limits, the available forms of public transportation include urban buses and taxis.

Using the urban bus system is a good way of getting around the city.  There are nine bus lines running throughout the city.  Route and timetable information can be found at either the main bus station in the city center, or at most bus stops.  Fares are to be paid to the driver upon boarding the bus.

A taxi is another good way of getting around the city.  The best place to catch a cab is either at one of the taxi stands located on Calle Plus Ultra, or outside of the railway station.  Calling ahead to arrange for a pickup is another good option.  Most hotels will be happy to do this for their customers.  Fares are based on standardized meters, which will rise during certain hours of the day (late at night or during a siesta) and during public holidays.

The public transportation options for getting to areas outside of Huelva include buses and trains.
