The main nightlife to be found in Estoril is at the Casino Estoril, the largest gambling mecca in Europe. This place not only has the normal slots, roulettes and card dealers you would expect in any casino, it also has a large variety of other entertainment. There is an auditorium for special shows, music concerts and ballet performances which seats up to 400, convention facilities for meetings of up to 1200 people, an American full-service bar, a jazz café, a discotheque and several lounges where visitors can enjoy drinks at night in a quiet environment.

One good nightclub to try in the Estoril region is Tamariz, which draws visitors even from the capital city of Lisbon. The atmosphere is casual, with beanbag chairs strewn around an open-air deck. The club is open all night and the bar serves some excellent drinks.

If the night scene in Estoril bores you, Lisbon is only a short train ride away. In the Portuguese capital, you will certainly find a great number of discotheques and bars to keep you occupied. Try the Bairro Alto neighborhood, where people congregate on weekend nights to listen to music performances and drink cheap beer, mojitos and other mixed drinks.
