This is a very interesting museum combining medieval archaeology and modern art. Built into the old 'Rettig Palace' by the river, it has on exhibition remains of the medieval town that were discovered below the garden during the constructions for the extension. A chance to walk along the cobble-stone streets of the medievel Aboa. In the upper floors changing exhibitions of modern art. (Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova)

Sibelius Museum

The 'official' museum of Jean SIbelius. Large collections of instruments all over the world. The museum also houses the Jean Sibelius Archives, and has a concert series. (Sibelius museum)
