The book combines wry, humorous anecdotes with fascinating details about the history, geography and politics of each of the countries he visits. The highlights of his trip to the Faroes include spying abseiling sheep at the Vestmannabjorgini (the Vestmanna Bird Cliffs), eating puffins for dinner at the Hotel Hafnia, and trying to avoid taking part in the Faroese Chain Dance, a local version of the hokey-cokey. The author clearly loves the Faroes, and this helps make for an absorbing chapter.
The book is available on Amazon for around £8.99, and the "search inside" facility is available so you can read more before buying.
