Given that there is no sales tax in Saudi Arabia, Riyadh can be a luxury shopper's paradise. Especially given that a number of high-end shops can be found within the city's shopping district. Riyadh's shopping district is found on Olaya Street. The two major shopping malls are found in the city's two tallest towers. The Mamlaka Mall is located in the Kingdom Tower. The mall is three stories tall; the second level is for women shoppers only, and all personnel on the floor are female as well. Retailers at the Mamlaka Mall include Debenhams, Saks Fifth Avenue, Marks & Spencers, Esprit, Benetton, Givenchy, and Aldo, among others. In the Al Faisalah Mall, located in Al Faisalah Center, you will find Harvey Nichols, another Benetton, Next, and DKNY, among others.

If you're looking for a souq (bazaar) to wander through, you'll want to head to the Batha area. Bargaining is to be expected, so don't be afraid to haggle for the price you want. Items to look for include Persian rugs, Bedouin jewelry and bags, and traditional clothing items.
