Requirements for Entering Colombia and Visa Information:

When entering Colombia as a tourist, you need a valid Passport (Citizens from some countries may need a visa, list below). Your passport will be stamped upon entry stating the number of days allowed (usually 30 to 60 days). You may stay longer by applying for an extension at DAS.

Citizens of the USA do not need a Visa for entering Colombia as a tourist , but they may need a Visa to enter for other purposes. There are many types of Visas for Colombia; three of the most commonly requested are Business, Pension, and Marriage Visas, but all Visa applications have similar requirements. You are required to have a Colombian Cedula (Colombia ID Card). You first need a Visa in order to apply for the Cedula.
