Official Quito Travel SiteQuito has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has appropriately well-documented tourism and visitor sites on the internet and in the city. Perhaps the best place to start, Official Quito Site offers tourism information in both English and Spanish, as well as thorough introductions to the entire city: lodging, eating out, getting to/from Quito, top attractions, shopping, nightlife, history and culture. Tourist information centers (which sponsor this site) are located all over the city: the Mariscal Sucre Airport, Historic Center (on the main square, Plaza Grande, on the ground floor of the Palacio Municipal), in the Mariscal quarter inside the Museo Mindalae (Reina Victoria and La Nina), Central Bank National Museum (Avenida Patria y 6 de Diciembre). Visit any for maps, brochures, and helpful guides to direct you around the region and off the beaten track. The visitor centre in the Historic Centre also has free internet, lockers for leaving bags, a beautiful shop, bookshop, and a police 'comisaria' for filing police reports.
The Official Quito Site suggests several links for visitors, one being the region's website. The Official site also suggests several hotel booking services and ViveEcuador , which offers more general tourism information about Ecuador and its various regions.
Also, the website
Ecuadorial has a ton of links for tourism outside and around the Quito region, as well as through all of Ecuador.
