If you or your kids are into paintball, there are a couple of  facilities where you can go and play:

Tempe Paintball is located at 1401 S McClintock Rd in Tempe which is located just south of Apache Rd on McClintock. ASU it is only about 2-3 miles away. The indoor facility is over 12,000 sq. Ft of play are. Non-dirt floors in a mil-sim style of play. You can bring your own gun and gear and then just buy field play and paint or they have a package that you can rent there if  you stop in and forgot all your gear.  Full concession stand and very friendly ref's. They have a viewing area for parents to watch.

Xtreme Pursuit Indoor Arena (Westworld Paintball Adventures) has a 30,000 square foot facility full of dirt mounds, obstacles,  and towers with professional referees to keep everything fair and fun.
