If it's too hot to walk or you don't have a car, taxis are an easy way to get around as all the main attractions are close by - so you probably won't have to spend too much. You can grab a regular taxi on the street or go the "cool" way - take a water taxi. They travel along the Colorado River and drop people off at the different casinos. It's not just a ride; it's an attraction in its own right. You can get info on the prices at each casino's dock or call Desert Recreation - 928-754-2684.
For those who prefer to drive themselves, you can grab a rental car at the airport - Avis, Hertz and Enterprise are all located there. It's a good idea to get one if you'd like to visit some of the outerlying areas of Laughlin or are planning to drive from Laughlin to Vegas - it takes about an hour and a half and it's actually kind of interesting, which is not what you might think about desert driving. Lots of people fly to Vegas and then drive to Laughlin because of the lack of major airlines flying into Laughlin.
